I love using Tortured Existence in my aristocrat's decks to get stuff back to your hand you want to cast again and pitching what you want into the graveyard. Don't see it played nearly enough!

Always nice to see commander content on this channel. I run into the pit outside of arisocrats in any black deck that has tokens lying around. It's a very strong card. Also, neat find with wyrm's crossing patrol. I have an elas il-kor pEDH deck that would fit nicely into

Orim's Prayer does not trigger individually per creature. The Oracle text is even clearer about that.

It would be awfully busted if it did. But still, any time somebody attacks you, you get life for each attacking creature. It can hose go wide strategies. You attack me with 37 1/1 creatures? I get 37 life. You did nothing. For 2/2s, it halves the damage dealt. It can be a good cushion. Also, with aristocrats, you're bound to have chump blockers. So in a lot of ways, it's just one-sided lifegain. I wouldn't sleep on it either way.

My favorite Campaign of Vengeance type card is Brutal Hordechief. Same cost, same effect but it also comes bundled with a Master Warcraft as an activated ability

I've been fiddling with a Mardu Aristocrats in standard w/ Valkyrie's Call. (Flying is sorta it's sore spot) I'm enjoying toying with it though. There's A LOT of sacrifice synergy in Rakdos these days.

you brought up those 1/1 red mercs with the sell-sword. i had a eureka moment when i realized to tap it to give my "aristocrat" +1/0, before saccing it for a counter. boy did i feel silly for not seeing it earlier (like 3rd or 4th game)

If you like Orim's Prayer, you should also check out Revenge of Ravens, although maybe that one isn't obscure. It's still pretty cheap though. Another cool aspect of Angelic Aberration is that it works even if your creatures are buffed by anthems, since it's looking at their *base* stats.

Dev, you missed Plunge into Darkness! Black renounce with larger gain, plus a bonus. One of my all time favorites. I can't believe it hasn't seen a reprint and its still fairly cheap.

I don’t seem to play against a lot of aristocrats, but I really like ruthless technomancer, especially if you can sac a big Elena’s Hierophant or Elenda the dusk rose, then get them back for cheap

I still think one of the most underrated card for aristocrats that I never see on anyones list is Dark Prophecy - it's a little pricey at 8 bucks but for what it does it's well worth it!
