Strike Rush - VR Gameplay Review

Strike Rush is an upcoming game from Skonec Entertainment, based in South Korea. It's PVP FPS shooter that pits two teams against eachother, with start stations placed on opposite sides of the map.
This review's just as much for my audience as it is for the developers, in the hopes that they'll be able to implement some changes before it's April 18th launch window.

hmmmm... appreciate you taking the time to check this out. I saw the post about potentially making some cash on the playtesting, but the game, at least for me didnt look like anything i hadnt seen before. Theres been a couple of these type of "futuristic shooter" games lately on the quest-store, X8 comes to mind as something along these lines. Some of them are free to play. Feel like this genre is a real gamble considering the competition doesnt charge a dime for players, but probably will have in app purchases and all that. Havent really understood the business model for these types of games. Somehow they're lucrative as the quest platform grows. But i feel like the store is already oversaturated with games like these. This game is not different enough to stand out. At least for me 😅

Yeah, it honestly leaves a lot to be desired, especially when games like Solaris brought a better pace to the gameplay. But the truth is I couldn't make a game if my life depended on it, so I'm not too quick to judge these guys. I just keep thinking back to Death Lap. I loved that game so much. Different genre altogether, but they took something that had already been done and really turned it into something I sank a 100 hours into. If that game is a ghost town now, I'm not sure I know why anything works at all on the Quest Store.

I also don't know if it's gonna help or hinder their launch that all the other reviews released alongside mine are just pining over it, praising it unconditionally, and not mentioning the payment. I think people will see through that.

@@bringhurstvr Solaris had one of the coolest "load into lobby" sequences ever, but lacked in gunhandling. It was funny that alot of VR-tubers i followed back the praised the hell out of that game. And after some time passed they shit on it... very odd.. sounded like a sponsorship that had an expiry date for the real truth to come out 😅 Its probably due to user retention, they've stated that before, dont know how it is and is gonna be with quest 3 but, we need better and bigger games, not only to keep players on the platform, but a good reason to get back in . If its only a handful games that are worth our time then lobbies sure would be empty. Although a platform with alot of active users will probably increase the player base on the more "niche" games as well. The Quest store is still a cluttered mess, and older GOOD games are just hiding in plain sight. Don't shoot me, but i have not tried Death Lap..yet, I've heard you talk passionately about that game, will eventually get to it. Been big into racers recently, PCVR for the most part, as i can only handle grid-legends on quest in shorter bursts 🤣

@@bringhurstvr yikes.. good to have you here telling the honest truth. I've bougth into many sponsored games in my VR-years and its never fun after you've played passed the 2 hour mark only to find out that the game only offered about 2 hours of fun and then the games just piles up, collecting dust like many of my unfinished games in the quest-library. Gotta have my eye out for more PCVR stuff. Take a break from buying every "cool looking" release on quest 3 and just wait for the actual big games to drop. Waiting to buy one of the Nividia SUPER cards when they drop this month, updating my rig so i can actually stream som decent pcvr around my flat :)

$20? Oof. I mean, if it was greatly improved then maybe, but what I played was a far cry from the game I compared it to in this video. I can't recall the title at the moment, but it was polished.

I really was hoping this game would be awesome, but it released the other day and it's just seriously not ready for prime time, I refunded it
