This series was on Netflix and I binge watched it way back then. I was desolate when it left Netflix. But I found it on Britbox! Oh the joy of watching it over and over. John Nettles is a master of his craft. He’s the only DCI Barnaby.

Lord, he's a handsome man. I'm really going to miss him on this series, but I hope he comes back occasionally. Wonder if he knows how much his fans love him? It's very sad , because that was a great pleasure to watch the episode every sundays (in France we watch it on sunday evening). II loved watching the magnifiscent countryside of England too. I hope that we could watch Mr Neetles in other movies.

Great show. I watch the repeats, repeatedly. Nettles character, Barnaby is 80% of its popularity. Plots are highly improbable (in how many episodes are Barnaby's wife or daughter, through their various interests, initially witnesses or in contact with the victims or perps).

Well Tom Barnaby would have done his 30years in the police force hopefully with a decent pension so it was time to hand the baton to his cousin another Barnaby who brought his wife then his baby daughter Betty and the best thing of all his dog Sykes now replayed by another dog new series 2021😊😊😊

Some fans reckon that Midsomer Murders would be different without John Nettles but it will be much safer when Neil Dudgeon is in the starring role as another Barnaby.

Nettles left Midsomer Murders in 2011 because the producer Brian True-May left the series in 2011. True-May left because the WOKE execs decided that the show lacked racial diversity. True-May suggested that if Caroline Graham wanted more racial diversity, she would have written the novels that True-May produced with that in mind.
