@@AnthonySopran0My cousin just graduated from Harvard Med School last year. He says they are. A lot of them are self aware of their reputation so they try not to be “that guy” but some just really can’t help it. At least that’s what he told me for the most part.

Like all them books in his library. Now, he frontin’ with all them books. But if we pull one down off the shelf, ain’t none of the pages ever been opened. He got all them books, and he ain’t read one of ’em. Gatsby, he was who he was, and he did what he did, and ’cause he wasn’t ready to get real with the story, that shit caught up to him. I always thought D’s take on the Great Gatsby applies to String.

I think stringer read the wealth of nations. He took every opportunity to better himself but you're right he was out of his element. I just think he read his books lol
@JonasWhitt3 ай бұрын
I never really got the impression that String was fronting that much, definitely was relatively smart, just somewhere along the way forgot what business he was in, and his obsession to get out and go legit opened himself up to get taken advantage of by people like Davis. 100% could have been a successful entrepreneur, had the opportunity actually been there for him.

He was also a key figure in a major, successful drug enterprise. Illegalities aside, he has more real world business knowlege than any top Harvard Business grad. His biggest problem is he kept looking too far beyond his current environment.

I still think it's funny that Stringer's based off a guy David Simon wrote about/knew who actually did go to community college while he was selling drugs. Not that uncommon if you go to a community college, but just imagining some guy like this in real life makes me laugh. As long as he didn't catch a nickel for a pistol with the feds.
