Switching to an Aluminum Neck on my Strat

If you could put an aluminum neck on any guitar in your collection, which would you choose? I'll go first-there's a Classic Player Jazzmaster on my wall that I think would be cool as all get-out with an aluminum neck. How 'bout you?

I'm actually doing that build right now, Jazzmaster body, Hoxey black anodized aluminum neck, with a Mastery bridge and Trem. With some Black Bobbin Stringjoy strings!

I prefer the full aluminum builds because the neck and body channel all the way to the bridge being all one piece. That’s the key to the unique aluminum guitar tone/sustain/resonance. This is a very cool build though!

I remember an interview with a player who had a go on a Travis Bean guitar in the 70s yes it's not a new thing! and he loved the sound of the guitar it had a really zing in the sound! he was struggling to put it down, the neck was rock solid on the heavy side! then it dawned on him why he would never own one?? the feel so cold!

thats my worry as well. i just fairly up north so its cost most of the time, and its the same deal with the laptop i have now where is always cost to the touch compared to the last one i had that was plastic. i wonder if some kind of vinyl skin on the back of the neck might take some of the bite off of it

Wonder if they make this neck with alternate nut material. Tusq, Corian, bone?. How does the weight of this neck compare to wood? Would want the balance be similar.

it’s winter, i live in minnesota and have two aluminum neck guitars. i’ve never noticed the neck being cold. what i have noticed is not having to adjust my guitar with every seasonal change.

My guess: 97.5% of players would have NO idea how to perform the set-up tasks described. Side note, you couldn't have presented a less enthusiastic instructor, and host. Stringjoy, you did yourself no favors with this one.
