Beautiful cards and great technique, Jennifer, and what a wonderful cause. My grandmother suffered from Alzheimer's, so this is near to my heart. And what a blessing these cards will be to many! Hugs!

I love this idea Jennifer. My mom was in a nursing home for a few years before she passed away. She had dementia. She and others in her wing would have and would love to get cards. I live in Loveland, OH, near you. She was in Loveland Health Care Center.

Hi Jennifer ~ Once again you've totally rocked the video world! I love this idea of using up some scraps and you've shared several fun color combos. Inlaid die-cutting always looks incredibly elegant and the receiver of the card asks, "How'd you do that?" Thanks for continuing to inspire me and for constantly encouraging all of us. I hope you're enjoying your weekend! ~HUGS~

Great cause and beautiful cards - thanks for the tip about smoothing out the bumps/impressions left by the dies. This is the way I flatten my watercolor designs if they get too warped and will not lay flat on my card. I was so excited when I thought of this I wanted to share it with the world - since that is not a reality for me I will share it here - lol. (Not claiming this as my idea - just something that popped in my head during a moment of desperation). Jennifer I have followed you for years and I truly admire your kindness and not only your passion to create, but also to share with and inspire us. Thank you for blessing us with your precious time in this life to do so!

These are all so beautiful Jennifer. Some of my card friends used to make fun of me for keeping the strips from my glittered and metallic papers but they knew I would use them. This is what I did with mine as well but I used mine for backgrounds rather than the focal portion of my cards. Lots of great tips here for new uses for those scraps. Thanks so much for sharing AND CARING!

The card drive is a great idea. My husband and I are part of the Pastoral Care Team of Daniel Island Fellowship on Daniel Island, SC. We provide a full Sunday service including communion to Summit Place Assisted Living facility. The community of elderly there have experienced memory loss, stroke, etc. But... those that can still try to interact and be as active as they are able. They love cards! And if fact, I'll be helping them toward the end of October with a little card class. Everything will cut and prepared for them - all they will have to do is glue the elements of their card. Thank you for thinking of our elderly. How we treat our seniors and elderly says a lot about who we are as a people.

I've been watching you for 5 years now started when i got married. never thought your video would make me cry i almost stopped it. i was my mothers care giver she now stays in a nursing home in texas. I wanted to make everyone a card but, alez/dem. seeing my mom fade makes it IMPOSSIBLE (for me) mom looked too young to be there (at 55 she looked 35)but in just 4 years she has aged. your video the people behind your video touched a nerve. im at a cross road now. we fly twice a year to see her and im dreading going this year. on top of it im disable which is why I started crafting keeps me positive but now my strong husband is fighting a losing battle with his leg. which will probably cause us not to travel but yeah when it rains it pours. i cant believe your video has me 😢. i promise to cheer up cause i bet i am not alone many people deal with ageing parents. ok happy thought happy thought. i will try your latest techniques to take my mind off

Dear SLC, My heart goes out to you and your family! I lost my mother last December and have a 14 year old quadrapalegic grandson (he had a stroke a year ago). I too craft and make cards....I like to send them out and made some for my son and daughter-in-law to send out to the dozens of people who reached out and funded equipment for Timithy last year. Hang in there, you are loved and people do care. I will be praying for you and your husband. Please know that you are not alone.

Vicki, not sure I understand the question but I'll answer it the beat I can. For the caring hearts card drive, you can make any card from any company with any sentiment but these will be delivered around Christmas. I've been helping deliver the cards to a local nursing home for several years now. Does this help? ☺
