Striper and Catfish Catch & Cook! (Lake Pleasant AZ)

Hit the almighty lake pleasant for some bank fishing. Ended up having a ton of success! This time of year AZ fishing can be very tough! Especially at this lake. I was happy to se it pan out for us.
We have a few main big lakes here in the desert, lake pleasant, bartlett lake, and the salt river chain lakes, canyon, Roosevelt, apache. Lake pleasant is the only lake that has great striper fishing under an hour drive.
Lake pleasant shore fishing is extremely tough, access is limited, and fishing is very hit or miss. But when you can put your bait in the right spot, you can get on some great catfishing, striper fishing, and even some awesome white bass.
We did a catch and cook on some awesome channel catfish and even a little striper! Stay tuned to see how it tasted! I will be fishing the big lakes a lot more this coming year.

Pleasant was one of my favorite places to walk my dog. They absolutely ruined the back side access to the lake with that piece of **** fencing. I used to smash fish back there from shore.

Love the shore acess there.good quail hunting on the back end of pleasant.rented a boat there once 10/15 yrs ago had a epic day bass fishing tons of 2,s and 3,s plus a 6 lbr.

Just a tip for shore fishing, if you leave your bail open and find a flat stone or an empty soda can you can put the stone or can with a little water in it on top of your line between two rod eyes. So your line is on the ground and you have a trigger so you know if you get a hit. And you won’t loose a pole either because your bail is open. You will get 90 percent of your fish as well.

We put chicken livers in pantyhose pieces wrap a rubber band . Around hook to keep pantyhose tight. The catfish will chew on it. It's teeth will get hung in the material.

Catching even one fish at pleasant is considered “out fishing” someone. 🙄 place is a complete waste of time to fish. Arizona in general, there’s MUCH better luck in the next state over to the east. But AZ in general, is a complete waste of time. Yes I’m pretty jaded lol! Just too much money & time to waste on weather stunted dinks.

@@TheFishinMagician20 haha no worries! The white bass spawn run can be really good! Not sure what kind of vehicle you have but I know some guys drive to the Agua Fria arm and slaughter them from shore. The gate is closed for parts of the year but you can hike in as well.
