Striper Lures - OOW Outdoors

Based on my 10 years experience of fishing for Striped Bass on the surf, coast and inland, these are the lures that have been the most successful. I usually carry a bomber long A magnum, yo-zuri crystal minnows, kastmaster spoons, bucktails and jigs.

@Austinmiller.....Usually a $10 bill will get all the strippers you want , to get them to come in real shallow, and off the bar, try a $20 in greenback color pattern, with a slow teasing jerk pause, across their snout, they'll usually hit it real hard, maybe even follow to your car. For real hard to catch trophys, try a $50. Lol. Remember, striper....one "P". Lol 😆 😂 🤣 😄 😅 😜 😆 😂

Appreciate the video. I fished as a kid with my family but got back into it as an adult and I'm addicted. I read what I can but prefer first hand knowledge. Ya'll covered a lot of good basics I've only just began using artifical bait/lures its more hands on, and the action is more constant than still fishing with cut bait. etc. I'm from the west coast. CA. I fish the Delta. Dam's and Lakes. Ya'll keep doing what your doing and pass on the knowledge. 1.

red eye shad has worked for stripers. But haven't haven't alot of luck on them.

it rally is a user preference. If your in a tournament and need to get the fish in ASAP then maybe a baitcaster. Otherwise, I've never had any issues with a rod/reel setup. Usually its your hooks that are the first to go when battling stripers.

as far as the lipless cranks go, you should throw out a red eye shad from strike king some time, I would be interested in hearing you comparison (for stripers) of how it stacks up to the other lipless baits

Those lipless crankbaits are also cordell I troll cotton cordell redfins in 12-18 ft of water in rivers when saltwater stripers spawn and they're killer

If you are fed up with the lure prices as I m, learn to make your own, simple and inexpensive every one of these lures can be made in your work shop for a couple bucks compared to six to eight bucks. Check out the lure making videos.

Crappie are the best tasting fresh water fish in my opinion then catfish...bass of any breed taste no good to me..but to each their own
