The Anubis clue was really good. With how Cheesy's clues usually go, it was almost genius. Bridge to the afterlife. Especially since I think just like Greek, they had to cross the river.

Except that Anubis was never considered the judge of souls in Egyptian mythology. He was briefly worshipped as the Lord of the afterlife before Osiris took that over, but Osiris was the only deity that was ever given the role of judging the purity of souls. They just all collectively got it wrong and so it somehow worked.

@@AuraMaster7 Your confusion is in role. While, as you said, Osiris is the ruler of the afterlife much like Hades in Greek myth, that was never the role associated with Anubis. He, like Charon the Ferryman, was the one who brought souls to the afterlife, though he did judge them with the heart scale because bad souls didn't pass on and were eaten instead, where everyone got into the Greek afterlife and then went on to either paradise or punishment.

@@AuraMaster7 The judgment of souls was much longer process in Egyptian compared to Greek. While Osiris had the Hades role, Anubis did the mummification and the heart weighing, which is what most people think of when think of Egyptian souls being judged.

Apparently the beta map was only 12th the size of the full thing (supposedly) and it was the size of a full game by itself. Elden Ring is beyond massive on just the map itself. I already have Elden Ring wishlisted just on the off chance it actually is that size.
