Our front ensemble instructor could play this flawlessly, got chosen to be center marimba for a world class indoor core but couldn’t afford it… dedicated his energy to getting out of the projects. Much love Jason ❤️

I really like your interpretation of this piece:) VERY different from mine but I do really like it:) and your independence between mallets just before, at least for me, that nice rubato legato section was freaking sick.

I love how you took the original piece and made it your own! Very beautiful interpretation of the piece! Ivan Trevinos writing in this song was beautiful enough but you elevated it to a new level! Amazing!

Wow this is very beautiful, I wish I had such great control with 4 mallets in the way that you do, fantastic playing!

This piece and this interpretation are both my favourite marimba video I could find here on KZbin. Thank you :)

It’s so nice to hear such a skilled and thoughtful interpretation of this piece. There are lots of interpretations out there, but not everyone takes up this solo in a position to do it true justice. You truly made music.

Beautiful! I love your interpretation of this piece of music! I'm looking at playing this solo for my senior S&E piece, and I'll definitely be referencing this video a lot!

I think the way you play this piece is beautiful. I absolutely love it and I think it may be one of my favorite interpretations of it. Also, I was wondering if you got a music degree at UCF and if you liked it. I am going there next year :)

Great sounds and pacing throughout - the only thing I’m not the biggest fan of is the tempo modulation at the 15/16 section. I think the intention is to keep the sixteenth notes the same speed, but here it seems like we moved from quarter note becoming the dotted-eighth, speeding the pulse up quite a bit. Is that an intentional interpretation?
