Right on! I was going to kill myself back in like 95. I drove around listening to train o consequences over and over! I was looking for something I could get up to a high rate of speed and hit! I was hoping it would be dead on so I would die! Listening to that song over and over and not finding that special place landed me in AA! That’s where I read the train of consequences in the big book right around the fourth step! I was floored! Literally that song kept me going and I kept saying oh well I’ll wait till tomorrow and try again! In a way it saved my life! So hell yeah Dave is my hero too cause 20 plus years later I’m doing soooooooo much better than those dark days! Thanks Megadeth and thank you Dave Mustaine!

I really like Dave Mustaine. I remember getting into Megadeth back in the mid 90s as a young teenager. Having now been a long time fan, it's still really refreshing to see how humble and low key he is.

After the deadly accident of Panic in a car crash for most of the band and his father death at 18 years old after refounding him again after grew up without him .. i think it was pretty devastating . I respect Dave and think he's a great musician, but he came off as poorly informed about Obama in this interview. If you're gonna argue politics, at least bring a solid defense to the table. Dave Mustaine is a real nice guy. He really managed it well when he said: change the subject as he felt cornered/intimidated by George. As a musician being exposed as Dave Mustaine is, it's always a little touchy to talk about politics and which side one is or not mainly because it could have an impact on the fans; those kind of people try to stay neutral. I saw Mustaine already on Alex Jones Show and as a Christian it shouldn't come as a surprise which side he currently tends to favour.

Dave Mustaine is a smart guy who has a lot going on in his life and he is undergoing a political awakening of sorts. Just because he said that he was THINKING about supporting Rick Santorum doesnt make him dumb, and just because he said the Batman shooting had some questionable circumstances doesnt make him dumb either, it shows he is engaged and paying attention. Most, who are in the music industry are Obama supporters so Im proud of Mustaine for staying open minded. Peace

I can definately say the same. I'm constantly discussing politics and my anti-theism with people who are willing. Willingness to stand up for your beliefs doesnt make you a smart person though. The fact that he may be more informed about politics and the government than most people you know to me says more about the people you know than anything else. Good for Dave Mustaine for trying to keep himself informed though, more people should be like that.

Yes, that must be it. I've seen him play about 4 months ago and he was actually in good shape, but that must be the reason.
