I played the raven 3lc tons when I played MWO. Classic er larges, great sniper. Later on i would run a med laser, srm load out and made for a fun fast striker. Loved this mech, good ol' reliable, had plenty of high damage games like the ones you showcase here.

I felt bad for him. He seemed so confused and just sorta did all the things you don’t want to do when getting focused. I mean he probably would have still gotten lurm’d to pieces with the narc, but jumping like that is just inviting everyone else with direct fire weapons to shoot at you too...

For fun try ERPPC + 2 ERML (+1 DHS) or HPPC + 1 or 2 ERML (-1 DHS with 2 ERML). Sniping with the ERPPC/HPPC draws less attention than the 2 ERLL.

I love to play this mech looking solely for leg shots, I managed to cripple a Marauder and pin him down which we were then able to bring down easily and sway the fight back in our favour

Nice variation on the classic 2LL build, the bane of many player since beta (mostly trying to find the damn last sniper raven at the end lol!) I personally like to brawl with 3ML 2SRM4 another classic build, you should make a video on that build too Bara!

Aggressive high DPS skirmisher lights are much much much better than 'sniper' lights.

Mine uses 2x MPLs, 1x SPL and an SRM 6 w/ a ton of ammo; works pretty good.

Btw, thats a hell of a lot of ammo for the narc. I just like to be able to narc everything 3 times over, and hitting with narcs can be a total pain in the ass even with all the bonuses.

The raven is one of those mechs that are underappreciated and it feels good to do well with those kinds of mechs. Personally I have stealth armor and a narc on mine. But I think the best is going out and doing well in my Gargoyle. These mechs get little love and doing well with one is sorta showing off.

I once got like 5 or so kills and took next to no damage in my Raven with stealth armor and 2xERLL. I just backstabed on Tormaline Desert. Ha!

I want to love the Raven, I really do, but it does not have good hitboxes. That giant nose makes it very prone to being cored or oneshot by things that are not double HGR.

I don't know... You can do a better build with the ECM Cicada (2LLAS, 2ERMED), but it's faster and carries more DHS's. I think the Raven is better used with those NARC quirks.

Can also do it in a WLF-Grinner (need MC though) and because all the weapons are in the torsos you can run an XL265 for another 10 kph and you get lots of juicy armor quirks. The Raven does have some nostalgic appeal of course....

Hi Baradul !! I like your videos and try to be better in game but I think all I'm doing is not good.... last game in a mad dog I just be killed in less 5 sec by 2 guys .... any advices to play this one right ?

Use every match as a learning experience. These videos are just build guides, and you won't instantly be good, however, if you learn the mechs you're using, figure out how they fit your playstyle, and most importantly have fun! If it's overwhelming for you, pick one of your mechs and play it and only it for a while, master it with skill points, and continue playing it afterwards so you know how it works.

simple things - dont rush, be near cower, be with ur team m8s, if u dont have a good speed - dont try to flank.

Another thing too, if you're in a Heavy or an Assault, it's going to be tempting to stay in the back. Most new players get in this mindset, "Oh I've got all these weapons and all this armor, I'm gonna hang back here." No. Don't do that. Go where your fellow heavies and assaults are, and share your armor. Use cover to your advantage and push with your team. Sometimes, it'll pay off to be aggressive, but if you're taking too much damage, it's okay to pull back a tiny bit and let your teammates tank the hits.

@@D3MONLORD666 Ahhh, well, positioning is VERY important in this game. With the LRM changes, you can fire them from 200 meters. I highly recommend watching "New LRM Buffs - Mad Dog LRM Build - Mechwarrior Online The Daily Dose #833", and pay attention to how Baradul plays the Mad Dog. You can do very well if you use your LRMs aggressively. I'd say staying within 200-300 meters of your target is a good idea, however, you can't do damage with your LRMs past 100 meters or less, and you end up wasting a lot of heat. As for falling into traps, stay with your team, share your armor, obtain your own locks, and try staying within line of sight of your target. Since you'll be within 200 meters of your target, and you have direct line of sight, your missiles will fly directly to your target instead of in an arc.

I like dropping down to a XL240 which frees up enough space to fit Stealth Armor. Not always useful, but a cool gimmick and nifty to have.

How does a player get 8 kills and only 2 assists? Shouldn't that be a minimum of 8 assists?

If you get a kill it doesn't count as an assist anymore. He basically damaged 10 Mechs during the game.

We Need Mech Citizen! "Today we play a classic" MWO in general, classically bad. MWO is an excellent lesson in game bugs that will never be fixed. Afaik the community want's something with the depth+ of Mech Warrior Living Legends / Mercenaries # and the graphic quality of modern games. Boom, Mech Citizen.

The reason why I don't get involved with this game is because there is almost no way when you are down 3 mechs to come back and win the game. Frustrating so my money goes elsewhere.
