The Volvo C30 Polestar is the latest addition to Forza Horizon 5, available this week for just 20 points on the playlist. This is one of those often-overlooked hatchbacks that never really got the attention it deserved, likely overshadowed by its more popular competitors. That said, it's admirable that Volvo ventured outside its comfort zone to produce this compact performance vehicle back in the day. However, the design remains somewhat questionable-it's not the worst-looking car, but it's definitely not the best. And for those wondering, there are no visual customization options, but we've discussed that at length in my previous video.
When it comes to performance, the C30 Polestar has some notable strengths. Stock, it suffers from significant understeer, which isn’t the best first impression. However, with the right upgrades and a proper tuning setup, particularly in the B 700 Class, it transforms. The understeer is dramatically reduced, making for a much smoother drive, and its acceleration and top speed become quite impressive. It raises the question of whether this small Swedish hot hatch can hold its own against the dominant FWD cars in the game.
Ultimately, the C30 Polestar serves as a fitting, if not the most exciting, conclusion to what has been a relatively uninspiring monthly update. Based on last Friday’s stream, the outlook for the next update doesn't seem particularly promising either-but we'll wait and see.
