Fun thing is, if that map had tried to be anything like Stockholm, it would have made most other maps seem flat. Because Stocholms geography underneath the buildings is nothing but granite cliff islands somewhat smoothed by glacial ice, interspaced with mud banks, marsh delta and ice age boulder deposits. Any AFV with worse than +45/-15 vertical gun handling would be a sitting duck.

Thank you for speaking about the biggest problem Tank RB has - the maps. I personally pretty much refuse to play most high tier vehicles above 7.7/ 8.0 mainly because of the map pool that is pure garbage for modern tanks. 7/10 games I get an urban, unrealistic clusterfuck on atrocious maps like American Desert, Alaska, Abondoned Factory, Small versions of Poland and Eastern Europe, or Berlin. I see no fun in a game with a realistic attitude engaging with Abrams and Leopards mainly below 300m. I really hope this will change fairly soon and we get good, realistic and large maps like Fulda, which is by far the best map in the game or I will pretty much end playing ground RB or even at all. PS: Or at least give me the option Gaijin to only enable the ~10 maps and versions that actually make fun at higher BR's. I'll take 1-3 Minute queue times if I can have fun insstead of suffering on small, urban trashmaps...

In relation to higher tier I guess you're right. But even then trying to traverse those maps which are fairly open while missiles are being sent from IR/NV using helicopters at distances you can't even see them. Fulda and Maginot really suck at lower tiers, just the time it takes to get anywhere, only to be sniped and one shotted by a camper. Luckily it seems that Fulda isn't in the lowest tier rotation.

Fun fact: after spending about 300h of pain and swearing I can say that Sturmpanzer II is one of the best top tier MBTs, specialy on small maps. It can also be used as great AA,since if you hit anything it will change the state of matter to gas. Hope you will have fun, plz dont abuse

Phly when you say 2, 3 or even 4km shots would be great did you know the longest recorded tank on tank kill was about somewhere between 4.7km and 5.1km (reports vary dpending on where you read) in the 1991 gulf war by a british challenger 1 with an APDS shell. Pretty amazing considering that up untill that point the fire controll system on the challenger 1 had apparently only been useable to 3km with APDS.

Phly you checked out the french 20mm helicopter a few days ago, but now you gotta check out the American one! The AH-1F has a built-in 20mm that has double the fire rate as the french heli with the same penetration (55mm or armor). Oh, and it also has a ballistic computer for the hydras! You gotta give the American one a try!

Usually people bring in an array of vehicles that have different strengths and more effective environments. When you bring only one vehicle you don't get that utility (Self-Imposed handicapping) that the rest of us do. However, your map and game knowledge exceeds the majority of others which gives a huge -honest- advantage. Cheers, keep up the great content!

Hey Phly, if they make larger maps, more ammo will be used and the ammo cost at top tier is already high. On a small map you may take 12 rounds, and and big map you may use 2-3x as much ammo; just throwing that point it out there.

The thing with bigger maps is, that they need to change the game modes for that. 3km range shooting won't happend that often if you have to capture 1 or 3 caps in the middle of the map. Then you only have long driving times and some long range shots. So before long range maps change game modes!

It might be only me, but Gaijin improved scopes on some vehicles to shoot 4-5km+ soooooooo i think they`re giving us hints that bigger maps are incoming.
