@CALEB EPPLEY yeha the pices really fell into place for me after seeing him saying you shouldn't deadlift and then him saying he was doing deadlifts for 2months and tried to lift a car
@philipquist771
@philipquist771 4 жыл бұрын
He said he dead lifted for 2 months only before trying to deadlift a car. He also said if you're not a pro, you shouldn't be max deadlifting. Listen before u question
@philipquist771
@philipquist771 4 жыл бұрын
@CALEB EPPLEY clearly he wasnt, I didnt say he was. Hitting max deadlift weight is destroying bodies. It's all over the internet and youtube. I should know this, I'm a massage therapist and wellness coach. Fact is there are safer movements out there to hit the same region. Max deadlifts are for pros not average gym bros. The risk to reward ratio is too low
@philipquist771
@philipquist771 4 жыл бұрын
@CALEB EPPLEY I can name world class athletes who tore biceps, herniated discs etc from deadlifting. It's actually quite naive to think you cant get injured from a movement even if your form is perfect. Shows how young you are. Plus you're right, I am weak. I stick to 495lbs 5x3. No need to impress anyone. Fitness is a personal journey

Misty as soon as he decides to be healthy, his body will change ridiculously quick, first of all because his body knows it needs to drop weight, and second he has so so so much muscle, and muscle does what? It will be a walk in the park, I'm sure he loves his food though, but at his weight, he could cut on 7 - 8k calories.

Neural Tech don't listen to that shit lol I think Robert has a lying problem. Does this make sense to you? Every other strongman starts out usually with a 315-405 deadlift, and they build it up over their life to 900-1000 lbs. Robert starts out with a 800lb deadlift and a nearly 400lb overhead press with no training before hand? Alright lol. And yet that's him before training yet his lifts are almost still those same numbers

@@PlutoTheGod well deadlifts are a lower body exercise and so if you are already strong on the squat you can start out deadlifting more especially when you have the size he has, do you really think a 400lb 6’7” dude is gonna start with 405. Gaining size and doing other exercises can increase deadlifts too. For reference my max deadlift fully fresh was once 355 and I hadn’t deadlifted for a year so you’d think I would have got much weaker, however my size increased and I got much stronger on exercises like rows and squats. One day I decided to do a deadlift at the end of a training session because my friend was doing them also so I decided to mess around and I managed to do 405. If it can work like that for me then for someone as strong as Oberst it will work on a much larger scale

Had an uncle that slipped and fell on the concrete carrying half a semi frozen beef. Got up took 2 fingers of copenhagen and finished his shift. 30 years late had an xray. He had broken his back and continued on with life.

Relatable. Was olympic lifting and trying to get to nationals. Was 180lbs 0r 83kg Being trained by an Olympic competitor and national professional. Was doing sets of cleans at 3 reps. 3rd set second rep... pop... couldn’t breathe, hurt to move, got my spine decompressed by the coach went home, couldn’t walk or move for 3 days, 4th day got up started slow and started working out again. About 2 months later i tweaked it and went to the orthopedist, said it was muscular nothing to worry about. Kept training for two more years with non stop back pain and clicking. Finally went to the doctor demanded and MRI, got one and turns out I had two herniated discs, one bulged disc and a cyst that formed on the thoracic part of the spine. That orthopedist said its fine don’t worry about it will heal. Went to one of the best orthopedic spine surgeons to get a cortisone shot in the vertebrae, and he told me what the other doctor said was BS. He said he was surprised I never hurt myself worse than what happened and surprised they healed while still doing heavy lifting. Crazy ride it has been.

I did strongman for 3 years, in those three years I managed to get a calf DVT and damaged my lower back, and neck. Few years later I still have back pain, I suffer from migraines and can't afford further doctor appointments. All they fed me was pain killers and blood thinners for months.

I hurt my back while squatting and lost the ability to lift my left leg off the ground. Went to the doctor, had xrays, MRI's, everything. They come back and said they can't find anything wrong. Whatever happened fixed itself after a few months but I still have pain in that side of my lower back.

I’m curious the attachments he used to “remove” scar tissue??? I’ve had so many injuries. My back, ankles, knees, and a rhomboid that never seems to heal. I have a dewalt skill saw. Please enlighten me. I can’t rehab in hospital. I’m a self employed stone mason.

Joe Max Fpv it's not a circular saw, it's like a jig saw. I think they have attachments for actual jig saws to be used for deep tissue massage. This breaks up the scar tissue.

Tom H just to be clear. I love America, and I'm no where close to being wealthy. I have a co-pay of $3k every year on my health insurance. After paying the $3k for my MRI my insurance then covered 85% of the following back surgery I had, and whatever else happens for the rest of the year. I don't expect/look for the govt to take care of me/my family. All I'm saying is if I didn't have insurance I would've put off the MRI until I could afford it

Tom H You are already pitching in with your taxes first off. Second, you name me one company ran by the govt that is all about customer service. You take away the private sector in healthcare, you take away incentive. If every hospital gets paid the same for everything by the govt, why would they take any steps towards bettering the customer experience, research/development, etc? You'll end up waiting 10 months for a surgery (like the gentleman from Canada just commented about) instead of me waiting a week and a half for my MRI, then another 2 weeks for my surgery
@guinnessbernard
