Enthios That's the plan :) I'm tall enough. 188cm (above 6 feet as far as I understand) but I weight now a little beneath 120 kilos. I was very active 2 years ago. Was going in the gym for some time, before that I did many good sports, rowing and waterpolo which gave me good shoulders and back and I did breakdance which gave me great flexibility for a guy my size (not able to do splits flexibile but still surprisingly flexible). Still, 2 years of studies meant a lot of sitting and a lot of snacks and bad food, soda drinks and lots of sugar products(literally that's my job xD by PC or at drawing table) and now that I work I do more sitting so I went around and found this channel and I was like...Damn...I could be like that if I get hyped enough. So I started doing it. I am currently on low calories diet for next 4 to 6 months. Want to lower my fat to about 10 to 14 percent and then start gaining muscles again. That means loosing nearly 30 kilos but I'm pushing it. Good nutrition and hard workout. Only thing is that there ain't NO strongmen gyms here in my country. That won't be a problem for a year or so but after that I guess I'll have to look for tires and atlas stones by myself but I don't mind that. When that time comes I'll figure something else.
@Milos111Zivkov8 жыл бұрын
Enthios Sorry for the long reply. Thanks for support :) Just kind of entering my mantra and needed to get that out of my mind. :D

Milos Zivkov Don't apologize man, it's good to express yourself. I'm assuming you're Greek? There no strongman gyms there, even though there's a long history of strength? That sucks. Make due with what you can, man. Baby steps!
@Milos111Zivkov8 жыл бұрын
Enthios very close, I'm from Serbia. There are some people who do strongmen but it is all somewhere close to Hungary or over the border Doesn't matter. In about a year things could change. I'm still Gonna push it. :)

+Alan Thrall (Untamed Strength) Hey, Allen I've ask you about this before but would you consider doing a few videos about mental preparation and mind set for lifting. I know its a deeper subject but I think it could be a fascinating subject for a lot of people and add real dept to your channel. No one else has done anything like that before ( That I know of. ) and its I something think thats kinda missing in fitness/lifting culture. Maybe interviewing some of your lifting peers when you do partnership videos. On the other hand I can see how some people might be turned of by a grown man who has a deep appreciation for self improvement and who reads books. Love your channel man.

I used to do that tire exercise when I was younger. Except they were bike tires. And the tires were attached to my bike to be used for riding around town. And they had tubes in them, typically filled with some sort of Slime rip off.

Alan, have you ever done a strict training cycle with the axle bar DL? And if so, did you see a lot of carryover to regular, Olympic bar deadlifts?
