want to increase your power? Try cutting your back swing. Imagine you are standing on a big clock. Your swing mostly starts at 6 (way behind you) and ends at 3. Start at 4 and end at 12. You'll impart more power on the ball by driving through it.

chad su always looks like not that "hard" but because of this it is hard to play with him

Could have been anyone’s game in game 3. Chad’s a tough nut to crack but you got the skills to beat him, just got to get it all to mesh together.

I've been losing to Chad for 8 years now. I started losing to him when I was rated 400 points below him, and now I'm 200 points above him - still losing... To be fair, I'm not struggling with the red side, I don't know what to do with his flat hit with the black side. It's supposed to be inverted rubber, but I think it's so old that it's basically short pips. The ball comes floating no spin, I can't attack it.

I’ve still never beat Giga Chad Su but I haven’t played him since making the switch to the dark side yet so hopefully I have a chance lol

@@musclepong I beat him once. The record is probably 1-15 or something. I wish you luck ;)

Against a player like this you need to be extremely patient, stay closer to the table than normal, and loop them to death. You shouldn't go for power on the forehand unless you get a ball that you're very comfortable with (at the level you're at). You did well in set 3 because you started looping to his far forehand corner. But, every single one of the forehand drives that you missed all did the same thing. And it's because 1. You're late. 2. The ball is low and you're too far from it to go for power. 3. You're swinging forward in your follow-through instead of upward. And 4. You're allowing your elbow to get out of control. Just push those, if you have to. No big deal. He's rarely ever going to attack, especially if you avoid pushing deep and/or high to his forehand. Otherwise, loop them by making contact more on the bottom of the ball. Keep your right elbow under control and tilt your head + right shoulder downward in your backswing too. You've gotta get really good brush in that scenario to loop it too. And brushing on the bottom of the ball takes time to learn.

Thanks for the detailed input! I feel like vs Giga Chad Su he tends to camp on his backhand side and also wait for me to pop up the ball before smashing so next time I play him, will definitely try to implement some of the tips you mentioned
