Timeline is more then enough for me! At least dTape setting on the timeline has tape age adjustment! This is the most important setting for the true tape effect! Volante totally skipped this! Will definately bypass volante...

Hi there, FYI the ‘WEAR’ knob covers all the tape age and high frequency degradation. Sounds very similar to the ‘TAPE AGE’ knob on the El Capistan which is the affect you’re describing from the Timeline.

"wear" knob only cuts frequency. Just like a typical frequency effect. But, tape age function brings warmth to the sound by reducing only specific frequencies and leaving the desired portion unaffected.

I’m sorry but you are incorrect, tape age is simulating bandwidth reduction over time of use, most notably the high freq, if you want to get specific the WEAR & LOW CUT together are in fact more flexible than any single TAPE AGE control by itself.
