From those who want to work on their own phones, keep you going. I would never take apart a phone without a magnet pad. It helps you to control no destroyed screw holes.

The component you replace last that came of so easily is a package of 4 Zener Diodes that serve as protection of the 4 lines running into it. What it does is it shorts every of these lines to ground whenever a specified voltage is exceeded - this happens when there is a static electricity discharge that has a huge voltage usually. It works like a lightning rod for static electricity. Pretty much all buttons and most analogue lines on the board have such components as protection so you don't kill ICs when you touch stuff with your fingers. So anyway, as long as there was nothing permanently shorted to ground which I don't believe it was most likely you bending up those contacts that fixed the problem. Actually such a fucker (ESD protection zener diode) on one non charging iPad mini was fucking up my day cause it pulled the 5V coming from the lightning port down on the line it was protecting. So it was partially shorted (to ground obviously) and pulled the voltage coming from the lightning Port to around 2V and so the iPad would believe there is something wrong with the equipment connected to lightning. Something i sadly discovered only after changing Tristar and loosing lots of time...

On my iPhone 5s. The part where the battery plugs into the logic board is a little connection thing. The small little square part on the logic board where the battery connects broke off. It looks like I can solder it back but solder it like a sandwich. Have solder in between the logic board and the battery connection so that I can reconnect the iPhone 5s battery cable. Can you show how to solder in between the logic board and underneath something you directly on top of the logic board?

Any ideas of why my phone would stay stuck on no service/searching with and without the SIM card? My iPhone 6 suffered water damage. I replaced the battery and screen and it powers up just fine everything works except my cellular network. I let my entire logic board sit in a bowl of isopropyl alcohol for a few minutes and and brushed it with a toothbrush. Still no network. I was thinking it could be the baseband IC and when I dial the number my IMEI number does not display on the screen.

i recieved an iPhone 6 Plus. Screen is screwed (no display but is destroyed), vibrate does not work, and from what the original owner said it has Touch Disease. I can fix the Display and i can deal without the vibrate but the Touch IC is most likely going to be a problem.

i have a question, i have an iphone 6 plus, that used to have touch disease, and a problem with the camera flex... i sent it for repair, and they fixed the flex with no problem, afterwards the reheated the ic chips in order torepair touch disease, but now there is a white vertical line in the middle of the screen, and no touch response in 2,5,8 and 0, basically all over the white line. they switch the conectors, and the ic chips, but the line is still there, they said that there is no static on the phone but are not giving me a solution, and thats the reason why im writing you, what is the possible(in theory) problem with the phone ?

Hey Jason regarding the barometric sensor and ultrasonic - i wrote a long comment related to that to one of your other videos before. I have killed alot of gyro sensors in the ultrasonic and mics that i didnt sealed with tape. How bout that with you? Seems to be a huge issue for me and i dont know how to evade killing MEMS components in the ultrasonic. In some cases i even unsolder the gyro before ultrasonic washing and put it back afterwards. Any thoughts anyone? Love watching your vids, thanks a ton! cheers

That may be traces under the audio IC broken. I've been reballing the audio codec IC and adding a jumper to C12 (and sometimes F12). It could be something different but audio issues are common.
