God killing the firstborn in Egypt is the final response to the Egyptians who killed several Israelite babies. The Pharaoh made his choice and the Egyptians suffer the consequences of their leaders' choices.As for the others, it's much simpler: Abraham didn't kill Isaac because God stopped him. The sacrifice of his daughter was entirely the judge's choice.He made an oath to God that was never required. Jesus says that he prefers mercy to sacrifice. God would gladly forgive a broken vow, which is far better than the sacrifice of his daughter. This shows how the influence of other peoples affected Israel during the time of foreign rule and distance from God. I tell you with all sincerity that Job's case is difficult, but I understand that I am limited. I truly believe that it was to show the rest of humanity in their difficulties that in the end God is sovereign. And from this life we can expect suffering and pain, but one day we will be reunited with Him.

Jesus did not say to vote Republican or Democrat. It is up to us as Christians to choose between two parties. This ultimately boils down to rejecting the party that directly breaks His commandments. If Adam and Eve would have completely trusted God, they would have told the serpent "thanks, but no thanks.". And the amazing existence of complete trust in the presence of God would have continued. That's the past, and it's logical based on God's truth, the human condition, etc. The phenomenal news is the new covenant is real, and humans can start and grow a genuine (agape love grounded) relationship with God together.
@Viod75317 сағат бұрын
1:25 "God steps back because human beings tell him to get lost he responds respectfully to our free will he takes a step back". I've heard Cliffe make this defense a few times now. My only problem with that is this: A man had a son. The son grew to be 16 years old and he had some bad friends in school and he starts getting into drugs. The father pleads with him "Stop this isn't good for you!" and eventually the son says "Dad stop! I've had enough of you telling me what do to okay? I want ot do drugs that is my choice so just let me do it alright?" and the father says "Okay. You want to do drugs? That is your choice." The son died of a drug overdose. Was the father a good father to allow his son to do drugs knowing it was harmful for him but not stopping him out of this idea of respecting his son's free will? Any replys would be appreciated!
@pumpkinsbartender897317 сағат бұрын
Of course you can see despite us telling God to step back in Genesis, He still helped us, he still pleaded with us to follow him. If that Father didn't care for his son, he wouldn't have that anger, not hatefuly, but that anger out of love. that desire to protect his child
@bigscoopofficial733017 сағат бұрын
While the decision is a hard one to make, you can’t ultimately force someone to make the right choice when they don’t want what’s right for them in the first place. I would argue that the father is a good father for warning his child that drugs are harmful, but he can’t force him to stop doing it. The child is making up his mind that that’s what he wants to do regardless of the wise counsel of his father.

I admit, I don't like his reasoning for this either. If humans told God to step back and he listens, why can't the reverse be true? What of the millions of humans begging God to be more involved in their lives and to help them with their suffering?
@mlwilliams440716 сағат бұрын
@@XtremeSuperJasonIf it's simply immaturity when a human tells God to "get lost", He doesn't. The human's heart has to be completely hardened, or they commit apostasy for God to "get lost". When humans start and grow a genuine relationship with God together, it's an eternal relationship where the sliver of time in human form pales in comparison to afterwards. If/when/how God gets involved is always what's best for that human if that human is truly in a genuine growing relationship.

That’s how much His teachings have impacted the world. So he wasn’t crazy. He was brilliant. But if you’re wondering if Jesus heard a voice in his head. Possibly. The voice of God the father may have been with him. Or maybe the Holy Spirit. Or maybe He lived with only His thoughts alone, since He is God in the flesh.
