The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

Seems so, I won't get a tattoo because God didn't make me with that ink inside my body and that the ink can lead to skin cancer and other things (small chance but not zero). I won't shame someone who has one and that's between them and God.

I was forced to go to Church every Sunday up till age 18. No amount of ritual routines and sermons could override the psychological abuse I endured outside of Church. No surprise I became an atheist. Thankfully, a mentor during my late twenties taught me that I was falsely projecting God onto my parents, which was blocking me from feeling a loving presence from God.

Jesus replied “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37 Loving Jesus Christ our Lord Savior will come naturally when you get to know him everyday throughout the day , by listening to his word, reading the Bible, going to church , ( make time ) putting him first always, and surrender completely, then you will love God.

As a follower of Christ, I rarely think about the rewards of heaven or damnation of hell. Yet atheist love to push that is the only reason we believe. Instead, I try to show God's love through my actions and think about him looking down on me every day. Only if they knew God's love, they would realize how silly of a question it truly is.

Most atheists will not say that's the only reason Christians believe. The problem is thats one of the main reasons y'all talk about. It often comes down to "just gotta have faith" and "eternal destinies". Isn't the central message about Christianity that Jesus died so that whoever believes in him will be saved? Saved from what? From Hell of course. The whole point is to avoid Hell and attain Heaven, since these are presented as the only two options.
@Watchmanandres

I’m the opposite. I think of those things all the time, Jesus made a lot of scary statements and on top of that most of his sermons spoke about hell fire and heaven. Jude said that there multiple ways to evangelize and one of those ways is telling people the threat of ending up in hell unless they believe: Jude 1:22.

i was brought up in the baha'í faith, throughout my childhood i was told that the only way to get closer to God, is to go on my independant search of truth. i was always told that to understand a christian i must first read the bible, to understand a muslim i must first read the quran. my faith always encouraged us to indulge in other faiths. our faith also looks at the spirit of jesus as the same spirit that came back as Muhammad, and that that spirit is also the spirit of buddha, zoroaster, moses, khrishna... all the same spirit, teaching us about the same God. this is why none of the religions started at the same time, every time humanity strayed, we were blessed with His spirit again.

I grew up Buddhist but my father was Christian, I found Bahai faith in my teens and joined the community and I definitely resonated with it due to it being such a digestible teaching of faith. It definitely helped me understand spirit without the external pressure and the understanding of different teachings/prophets for different times - not having to be boxed into “us vs them” or tradition. Happy I aligned to see ur comment bc same

@@mikafernandez401 the bahai faith for me felt like the final piece to understand the rest. and the amount of things I learned about have shaped me to who I am today. I still think regularly about how just like how in the womb we grew arms, legs, and eyes for the material world, that in this material world we are growing our spiritual arms, legs, and eyes. I still think of how the seasons are intertwined into everything, everything that has life has a spring time, winter, fall, and summer, and that even the religions go through the same cycle. then learning about the importance of numbers and the power of the number 9, being the final number before the cycle starts again. everything in the bahai faith, I have grown and seen it's fruition. I'm not actively a bahai rn (I'm 24 this year) but I was a very devout bahai into my late teens. I however don't believe any religion is fully correct, but that's because of my independent search of truth 😉

@@vvorkhorse9755 you seem like an intelligent person who is capable of taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture. Seems to me religions were born out of trying to find answers to life's unanswered questions, because we did not have a definitive answer, we invent Gods to explain the unexplainable. In the 21st century, we now have very good answers to a lot of those questions, so we can dispense with notion that there is a God in the sky.

10:30 -ish a good question is raised about the commandment for us to "honor thy father and mother," and if that clashes with parents who instruct us to do or teach us to accept immoral behavior or practices. We are instructed to love our parents, for through their marriage and in sharing the gift of creating life with Our Lord, we must thank them for giving us life. However, you should never "honor," or obey immoral commands or instructions from anyone, be they family, friends, coworkers, authority figures or strangers. We are all obligated to pray for and help these people, by bringing attention to their immorality and instructing them in how to rectify their behavior. We are not obligated to recieve or carry out immoral orders or tasks.

Stuart Knechtle's speaking FACTS 🔥. Jesus The Christ of Nazareth was definitely the most influential and historical non military figure to have lived. Cliffe Knechtle's been doing Christian Apologetics for decades now and it's awesome seeing his son Stuart following his father's footsteps 😊.This has nothing and everything to do with the video but please listen if you want to otherwise leave it alone and ignore it. Hello my name is Justin and I'm a fellow Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college graduate. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't. I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict. Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers. Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of macro Evolutionary biology whereas I accept micro Evolution like speciation and adaptation but not macro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word. Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. I don't mean this is any condescending manner but if you'd like to discuss The Scriptures with me or have me listen to your view on anything my instagram account is Savage Christian Kombatant

I don't know if it's fair to make a blanket statement that kids that are forced to go to church are happier later in life. I know when I was in high school, and afterwards, I was really depressed and miserable. Church is not the thing that will ensure your kid isn't unhappy. I think if you have reasonable conversations as they age to explain, not just what Jesus Christ taught, but the evidence he really said it. It'll probably be better that way, instead of just saying "this is true." "God is real." "He's the savior of the world." Gosh almighty. That is why I started to doubt things about it all a few years ago. I had no idea if I actually believed what I was taught for myself or not. It was firstly Frank Turek who helped me believe in God again, and it was these convos that helped me truly trust in Jesus Christ for the first time. So, yes. Structure is important. But, you need to explain why it's true at a certain point.

Response - • How about you actually say something that's not complete garbage. • I've never heard of parents telling their two year old children to do whatever they want. • However . . . I do know parents, who, when the child is old enough (teenage years), introduce them to a wide range of philosophies to allow them to think critically before they leave home and enter into the world (no indoctrination needed). • I am also aware of chrstns who start indoctrinating their own children at two years old, in order to subvert critical thinking (indoctrination needed). Indoctrination - • To teach (someone) to fully accept the ideas, opinions, and beliefs of a particular group and to not consider other ideas, opinions, and beliefs. • The process of teaching a person or group to accept a set of beliefs uncritically. • The process of repeating an idea or belief to someone until they accept it without criticism or question.

I am sorry if there was anything that happened to you that made you hate, but please do not generalize an entire faith because of the actions of few. When people take dogs for walks they don’t leave them untethered, we hold on to them, but when we can we hold loosely so they can explore. The LORD does this with his children and I believe that we should do the same. I hope that you open your heart and mind to those who try to help. I will be praying for you, brother.

There is only one sin in the Bible that is stated as being an “unforgivable sin” and that is the mark of the beast. My brother in Christ all that you feel is unforgivable is forgivable through the LORD GOD. I do not know of this “unforgivable sin” that you speak of but if you truly repent and ask for god’s grace and forgiveness. He will open the gates widely and embrace you warmly.

No free thinkers if they're logical will not just believe anything.They will believe things that have evidence to back those things up. Evidence is why we can say with Confidence, human beings are responsible for the creation of the wristwatch used in your watchmaker fallacy. And you know what, based on that evidence?The christian jew muslim hindu atheist and any one else , regardless of their religion , would be compelled to believe that claim based on that evidence.

I want to ask. My questions... 1. The reality that we can see right now is that in this universe there are trillions of trillions of planets and galaxies. If there are countless trillions of trillions of planets... maybe not only planet Earth has living creatures inhabiting it...? For example, if there are a trillion other planets that have living creatures like Earth and its inhabitants are various types of non-human creatures, would Jesus also be God on those one trillion inhabited planets...? 2. The real facts that we can know right now... the earth is approximately 10 million km, the sun is 1.3 million times as big as the earth, and there is a star called U Scuty that is tens of billions of times as big as the sun . If the celestial bodies were super massive in size like that, the number in the trillions would be uncountable. How big do you think God the Creator is, bro...? Maybe God is only as big as the man Jesus...? 3. According to scientists, the universe is more than 13 billion years old, whereas according to historians, Adam and Eve only existed about 7 thousand years ago. Based on this science... maybe the universe has been empty without any living creatures inhabiting it for more than 13 billion years...? So what was Jesus doing for 13 billion years before there were humans, Adam and Eve...? Please answer me!!!!?!!!

1. Jesus had to die for humanity's sins, that's why he came to us in the form of a human. His new covenant (the Messiah coming) is with humans. I'd imagine that with aliens it is the same as the old testament, believe and go to heaven. I think as long as they believe in God (the same one as us cuz there's only 1) and don't do idolatry, then they're fine.

3. Adam and Eve is written in the style of Poetry so I doubt it's meant to be taken literally. A lot of things in the bible are metaphorical. AS TO WHAT JESUS WAS DOING FOR 13.5 BILLION YEARS: in the book of John Jesus Says, before Abraham was, I am. Meaning he is pre-existing. Meaning that before the world started 13.5 years ago, he also existed. He was chillin with God before the universe started and after it started. Then he came into human form, died, went back to chilling with the father for 3 days, came back from the dead, and went back to chilling with the father. So in other words, he has been chilling since before day 1

@iseeyou3352 there is no indication that Adam & Eve/genesis was written as poetry, nor there is any evidence that the universe is 13 billion years old. In fact Jesus mentioned Adam, the same goes to Paul, it meant it was literal and you should believe it. while the bible use lot of parables, you can easily tell when it is a parable or whether it is not a parable. God made it clear when it was literal or methaphorical. This is why many atheists do not believe in christianity because we as christians fail to defend genesis and shrug it off as "metaphorical" if genesis wasn't literal then it meant we couldn't trust the rest of the bible because why would you try to present the beginning of human history as methaporical. Nothing indicates it wasn't literal, if you properly learn the hebrew words you can easily tell it was literal, the word "day" in hebrew may have multiple meanings but Genesis made it obvious whether the "day" was literal or not.

Not a very good example. Our body is a temple for God but that simply means to keep it healthy. It's not wrong to get a tattoo. What makes a tattoo sinful is the motivation and the design of it. You can get a cross tattooed as a way of appreciating God's sacrifice and as a promise to keep your faith. That is not sinful because you do it to thank God instead of doing it to get God's attention. Just like good works. Good works aren't bad but we shouldn't do them in order to get saved but rather BECAUSE we're saved

@@sabortoothmoosetiger1093 no all the things you mentioned can be healthy for your body. Except for tanning. Bodybuilding is great as long as you don't take steroids. Cutting your hair is usually more of a comfort thing but can also be good if you have lice or if you want to prevent getting them.
@McSmurfy
@McSmurfy Ай бұрын
@sabortoothmoosetiger1093 Those are examples of things the body does naturally (hair grows, build muscle, discipline to not over eat). Getting a tattoo is a choice to inject ink in your flesh to show a picture and the ink can lead to skin cancer and when your skin gets wrinkly, the tattoo is disfigured. Taking care of your body also includes washing (grooming is included), be healthy and not harm your body deliberately. So, I don't see a tattoo being a good thing to get or any positives from it, but I won't shame or judge someone who has one because that's between God and that person.

Well it starts with who god is. In the Christian worldview Jesus of Nazareth is the clearest revelation of God. He claimed to be God in human form. He lived a sinless life. He died on a cross forgiving his enemies. But then he rose from the dead. He claims to be able to give you eternal life by putting your faith in him. He wants you to live so bad he died for you. If that’s not the clearest example of love then I don’t know what is.
@McSmurfy

If you listened, he also said that it was laws for that time to seperate God's people from the rest. I would say a better argument is that our body is a temple of God and we should look after it and getting a tattoo also has negatives that can cause ink cancer and ruins the body. I don't have a tattoo and will never get one, but I also won't look down on those who have some before coming to Christ or those who have after because that's between them and God.
