Is there any glass in the laminations? Does the woven carbon innegra print through the gelcoat? Is the boat still polyester resin or epoxy?

Hey Fielding, I have a very good friend named Fielding! To answer your questions: When a full carbon innegra boat is ordered, hull, liner, and deck cap, there is no E-glass laminated into the parts. Console, hatches, and tubs are glass. The carbon innegra does not print through at all. You can use epoxy resin resin when infusing carbon innegra but that requires baking the part in an oven after the infusion process to totally cure the part. We do not do this. We use vinylester resin which does not require baking in order to fully cure. I believe it would a rare builder that is using epoxy resin and if so they need an oven big enough to fit their part inside. Certainly drives up the overall investment and the cost of the build. Hard to justify for most - addition space required, additional time required, and more expensive materials. We believe our build process is already producing what we consider to be Lifetime boats!
