I'm about fan of how this gentleman has a simple and brutal approach to these somewhat tricky maneuvers. Even points out his "non Thai" solution to a thai boxing problem.

Since im planning to use a lot of lowkicks in my next fight i thought its a good idea to be able to definetly win the lowkick battle. This is gonna help a lot. I like the just give away your leg against the inside lowkick the most. That also brings the insanely sensitive area on the inside of the knee out of the way. Once got kicked that by a shinbone during a fight. Hurts like hell.
@warriorcollective8 жыл бұрын
Any art that allows the use of low kicks ensures that fighters will no doubt have to understand the effectiveness of them thoroughly! Glad you found it of use, let me know how you get on in your fight!

Thank you for the video! How much success can you have with countering a low kick with a knee? Considering that low kick is very high range and a knee is very close range. Same with a cross..

that's a good video, thank you. Can I ask you a question? Why some people say than you can not block a low kick with your shin cause its gonna break? I practise muay thai and i always block low kicks with my shin, sometimes i block it with my knee, but sometimes, including some middle kicks i get up my leg the most higher possible and i block it too with my shin, some people say than you need to block the low kick with your knee, thats real but is not the obligate way to block it, right? You can block a low kick with the knee, but it is not the most normal thing, the most normal thing is to block it with the shin, right? Provided that the shin is well trained for many years, because I understand that if it is not trained, then it can break very easily, but if you do a correct hardening of the shin it is different, right?

What happens when he decides to begin his combos with kicks? Low kick, 2-3 punches followed by a kick? Specially if hes aiming his kicks at rib range.
@Vscustomprinting5 жыл бұрын
then you kick him/her youve already forced there position, so they are stuck you want to drill your counters.. answer these questions in the ring and you could be a champ too :)

What I am curious about is, if you were to block this kick without the padded support on the legs would this not destroy or potentially break your legs? I’m really interested in learning how to block to low Muay Thai kicks because they are such a powerful weapon.
