These are all overheads many clients don’t understand when you give a quote. It all ads up especially when running a crew. Keep up the great work mate

I thought buckling stucco was a serious problem. I see it is not. It is actually reasonably easy to fix when I watch the expert. I wish I had seen this video last year, I passed up buying a rental property because of this very problem. If you are not educated on this type of thing, it appears like it is a serious foundation problem. Great video. Thanks, Kirk!!

Am usually more lighthearted and whimsical in my comments , but: To answer your question "What's up with that shit?" It's called bilking the people in order to fill the coffers of an ever-expanding government, made up of soft-handed politicians and bureaucrats that have never done a hard days work in their entire lives. Let's not forget that Government - like the Bureaucrats it employs - are equal to mosquitos: they cannot exist without sucking the life blood out of a more resourceful, industrious and hardworking creature, in this case, you and Jay and most everyone else on those roads. Howdy, Folks type in, stucco services or contractors, guys like us appear. As far as bids, every job is a different animal. They may seem similar, but one may have easy access while a similar one has 15 steps, it' make a differences pushing a wheelbarrow of mud than carrying 40 five gallon buckets of mud to areas that need the stucco. Thus no such thing as that app.👨🏻‍🔬

I have a few areas on my home with serious buckling… is buckling ALWAYS just cosmetic? Or are there situations where it is potentially causing damage under. Also, is there such thing as a stucco skim coat if the previous guys texture wasn’t very good? Will stucco stick to a painted stucco surface? Thanks!!!!

Howdy, unfortunately buckling stucco isn't always cosmetic, sometime it can be serious foundation issues or many other things. We have perhaps 50 video on repairing locy patchwork on homes, in fact were going to repair about 15 tomorrow. New stucco will only adhere to painted surface if the existing surface is prepared properly.

Good evening Roc Dude, I recommend you google “Plastering contractors” in your area. This may help you decide. This search may also bring up “Yelp.” Theirs is a paid subscription, so their reviews may be biased. This means that if you’re a paid subscriber, any negative reviews will be last or hidden, while if you’re not a member, negative reviews may be placed higher when inquiries are looked for. There’s nothing illegal with this method of advertising as it’s the way the world now operates. I too find their reviews helpful. Or try Google, too, as they are not biased, and the reviews are at no charge. Hopefully, with the help of both review apps, you will find the best fit for your needs. I had a similar situation and what I did was drilled a shallow countersink in the stucco then used a deck screw with a flat washer to "pull" the stucco back against the stud. Similar to how drywall is attached with countersink screws. After that, patched and painted. Sometimes what happens is the stucco mesh detaches from the studs due to years of expansion/contraction.

Hello Kirk, Mr Master Plaster. I got a question for you. I have a 15x15 stucco wall where some smart person put roofing tar on it and painted on top of it. Well now the wall has developed lots of alligator cracks all over the wall and leaking inside. Oh great master of plaster what do you recommend I do to fix the wall? The tar is on there really good and the stucco wall that the tar was applied too is very sturdy. Thank you so much! Oh I need to add that the tar is on the stucco wall itself. I tried to scrape it off but it’s impossible lol. The Florida sun has baked it on good. Also the tar itself has been coated multiple times with paint. What makes it even worse is that design of the stucco wall is a very bumpy non smooth old Spanish style making it difficult to patch or remove all the cracks. The reason I need to fix this wall is that it’s leaking into the wall cracks down into an attached lower porch/balcony roof ceiling. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Howdy Richard, you can use a roto hammer or much easier, a gas powered pressure washer with at least 4,000 PSI strength then use a turbo tip. If it can be removed this will do it. If it can't be removed or you can't figure out how to get it off. Apply the best waterproof paint which is "Renew," By Stuco-flex.👨‍🏫
