It’s one of my favorite things in Minecraft, is no matter what seeing and reacting to player death messages. Depending on who and how well you know their playstyle, it’s either concerning, confusing, predictable/expected (Scar lol), or you don’t even worry cause you know they’ve got it handled. And you get to be curious about what their up to, if someone will react. But then there’s Zed lmao, complete this own category and you either get excited, are desensitized, or have to remind yourself what he’s known for

I'm gonna be honest, I didn't know I didn't know Minecraft had a couple seconds of invincibility after respawn. Also The Deathbed has to be my favorite zedvancement thus far right after musical creepers!

The invincibility may only work on servers (not singleplayer). It also applies for a little bit when you first log in. Some players take advantage of logging in and out to cancel fall damage, swim across lava, etc

I wonder if anyone has noticed this: 3secs of invulnerability, times 10 deaths = 30secs as a base minimum. 47.2/48.2 secs, minus 30secs base minimum = 17.2/18.2 seconds total that Zedaph took personally. From punch to landing on the bed

Someone (I forget who) tried to trap a bed that was hidden (I think?) under the Mean Gils base but I don't know if I ever saw anything happen from that one. Did I miss it? Or was that a failure? (Was that Scar? Did he do the same minecart TNT setup that never worked anywhere else he set it up?)

Landing on a campfire, landing on magma, having an anvil drop after you do, so many possibilities. Maybe could find a way to make sand/gravel drop after you to make you suffocate?

I was expecting the tenth space to be used for a secret contraption at the end, but since the first death was through Tango, it really wasn't needed at all. Though I would have loved for the last message to be to intentional game design (since all this happens on purpose), though that would have required to either build this above an end portal or go through a nether portal. Either that or falling into the void, since falling sometimes is what makes people wake up from a nightmare.

Brings to mind... was it Xisuma? Setting up that zombie (or drowned? it's a copper farm, I think?) reinforcement farm in the end. There was a test on the main island and then after it proved successful a new one was set up over the void and the swarm leftover at the test site was led over a bridge to seed the new one. One would've expected chaos with how many of them were following him, but they actually all arranged themselves into three single file lines on the bridge.

Fellow Zed, look up "Squilly boat glitch" - you can actually respawn as far vertically above the bed as you want, so technically, you could do it for all death messages.

Zed, I did some fall damage experimenting, and I thought it could be a cool Zedvancement. With full prot 4 netherite, feather falling 4, an enchanted golden apple, a potion of the turtle master 2, and haybales, you can survive a fall from 4,500 blocks in the air, with half a heart. Maybe you could you try to make that fall by doing an MLG haybale placing?

I don’t know if you thought of it due to me not know the cool down time, but it is possible to make the immunity period a part of the time falling. Which if we say the grace period was 3 seconds could have possibly removed 1-1.5 seconds off or even the full 3 seconds dependant on time falling. Idk if you wanna do it again with some math though. Loved the video! It’s always so much fun watching!!! (Just did the maths, if you made the delay 1.08s before dropping (drop time is 1.20s) vs your current 3.00s you could theoretically skim up to 20s, although that number is highly unlikely since that would need a perfect run).
