Yes, yes, yes!!! I am a happy sailor! The engine rebuild has finished and everything is up and running. After 4,5 months, the engine is back on board of Lady Liselot and I left Ooltgensplaat to spend some time with my friend along the quay of Waddinxveen. two weeks ago when I decided to edit, I had no idea that we would be able to leave Ooltgensplaat around X-mas, so I then created to some footage of a stranded neighbor in Nature Reserve Biesbosch. Enjoy!

Waarom ik alles in het Engels doe?
Omdat ik video's kijk van Fransen, Denen, Noren, Spanjaarden, Portugezen, Duitsers én heel veel Engelstaligen die allemaal Engels lullen en ook bootjesmensen / liveaboards zijn. Want alleen dan kan je je ervaring wereldwijd delen. En wat blijkt? Mijn video's worden in 127 landen bekeken (zie S03/E01 voor de lijst). Veel van mijn kijkers en abonnees zijn Engelstaligen die mijn video's helemaal top vinden, omdat ze óf familie hebben uit Nederland, of hier jaren geleden zijn geboren en door omstandigheden nu elders op de wereld wonen. En, dat ik dan Engels spreek met een accentje (net als de Fransen, Denen, Noren, Spanjaarden, Portugezen, Duitsers overigens) dan interesseert hen dat geen reet.
Weet je dat Nederlandse ondertiteling aan kan zetten? Doorgaans zo'n 4 uur nadat de video is gepubliceerd. Klik op de video, en kies uit de iconen die rechtsonder verschijnen dan voor [ondertiteling] en kies daar voor Nederlands. Dan wordt zelfs mijn steenkolen Engels (knap he van die jongens en meisjes KZbin) vertaald naar Nederlandsch.

En goedemorgen terug. Zoals je in de video zag, ik heb de kerstdagen tegen de kade in Waddinxveen doorgebracht en was het tijd om weer naar de Kaag te gaan. Het is bijzonder fijn om weer te kunnen varen. Wist je trouwens dat je je opmerkingen hier op YT kan editen? It’s really nice to see your all good to go again Henk and back motoring again. You’re one of the few motor trawler vlogs I like to follow, with the advantage of learning the great tips and realities of boating. A year ago I bought a Trader 42 signature which I’m am very pleased with however I have very limited vision from the helm. I notice you put to great use various cameras which you have located around the boat, I would like to know what system you have….. and any recommendations or advice you may have, the brand , wireless or wired, adjustable it appears? Etc. (I support Mac not windows) much appreciated. Happy new year for you in 2024. Fair winds and always safe passage. Mike

Hi Mike, regulations in The Netherlands says it's mandatory to have a 360 view from the helm, and the previous owner just had 1 analog camera, but I needed to see next to me too. So I use "PTZ IP POE" camera's. I guess the client software is also available for Mac. When you visit my channel kzbin.info, the video that starts automatically is my "welcome-to-the-channel"-video. In the description of that video, you find info on the "CCTV".

Yes, because of heavy rain in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Austria the last couple of weeks the rivers being enormous amounts of water. We have setup all kind of systems to let the rivers flood, but still this time it’s a challenge to keep dry feet. I am moored on canals so behind locks and the water level is almost alike all the time.

She is a 1980 49ft Blue Ocean Trawler. Build in Lien Hwa Boat Yard (established in 1978). Lien Hwa Boat Yard builded boats for several OEM partners included Blue Ocean (Holland - power boats), Little Harbor (US - sail boats), Marine Trader (US - power boats), Trade Winds (US - power boats), Mckinna Yachts, Yanmar boats. So Lady Liselot comes from the same factory as the US Marine Trader and they have many resemblance. Even the interior looks quite the same like caninets and head. Also the Perkins engines and the Onan Generator is not something which is common in The Netherlands, but is typical for the Marine Trader brand.
