Students rejecting early Harvard acceptance as antisemitism stigma plagues Ivy League institution

A place at Harvard used to be something to boast about - now students fear it’s a stigma. NY Post columnist Rikki Schlott shares this story.
Early applicants who received acceptance letters from the university last week are considering applying elsewhere, The Post has learned.
Some are citing concerns about experiencing campus antisemitism, while others worry a Harvard degree could hurt job prospects as employers pledge not to hire its graduates because of the university’s handling of anti-Israel protests.
This year, the school reported a 17% drop in early applications, representing a four-year low. And the acceptance rate creeped up to 8.7% from 7.6% last year.
One driver, according to college admissions consultant Christopher Rim, is students concerned that they may get tainted by the storm around the college’s antisemitism problem.

Bravo Rikki. Taking the not so popular stance in a liberal city. And it's not just the anti semitism. It's the anti anything and anyone who isn't a far left woke on campus. Things need to change from the top down.

The kids that decide to pass on these universities, that are clearly run by people with no moral center, should be applauded. In the end, they will become the future leaders, and are the real hope for generations to come. I wouldn’t send my children to any one of these institutions even if they offered to pay their entire tuition!

Putting Harvard on your resume would require the hiring firm to look deeper into a candidate's background to determine if they exhibited support of antisemitism. Given the risk of someone sneaking through without being detected they might just decide not to hire Harvard students. The President and the Board of directors are at fault here, they created this toxic environment. The reality is that a student graduating from Harvard isn’t much different than any other student graduating from university in terms of knowledge and capability. So why bother with the headache of hiring someone from Harvard?

I agree that Harvard's credibility as a topnotch school is spiraling downward quickly. Harvard law students don't even know enough to read a document or a petition before signing it and now their president cannot even answer an easy enough question that an 8th grader would know. Plus, being docked $100,000,000 is going to hurt what Harvard can do as far as scholarships and providing the best material assets to Harvard's education curriculum.

A Harvard education is at least 50% reputation. It was the first university established in the US, so it's status has benefited from many years of being our only university and graduating many leaders of our country and educated Americans. But those days are over. Today, Harvard is sick - infected by a left-wing germ which spreads by calling truth - 'lies'. According to Harvard, Judeo - Christian values are now 'context dependent.' At least 50% of a Harvard education should be about facts and truth. Not any more. Concerning the Middle-East, Harvard's narrative is 100% misinformation. The smart move is to stay away from Harvard. No one needs a Harvard miseducation.
