I didnt know if I was going to make this deadline, but im thrilled to be able to share how it all came togther. During all the pressure to get these artworks finished I also managed to make something ive been thinking about for a long time. The magnetic easel has come together so beautifully and im loving working on it. Im still fine tuning it aswell so if you have any ideas for how to improve this design, please share in the comments :)

A number of years ago, I came up with the idea to purchase a piece of sheet metal that I had cut to the same dimensions of my drafting table surface. I then used magnets that I purchased at the hardware store, and I use them to hold my paper onto the surface of the desk. Using this method, I can move/rotate the drawing to positions that make it easier to draw on. I noticed early on that the magnets made the corners of the paper "dirty", so I covered them with small pieces of paper. This works perfectly and quickly; it's better than tape, which damages the paper. Also, the glue gets unsticky quickly.

Love these studio updates! Would it be possible to post some more info about the pencil trays you have attached to the French Cleats? I'm working on designing my own studio and yours has already been such an inspiration to what I want to do and it all started with those dang awesome looking trays!
