I'm a full-time guitar teacher. I usually notate things by hand in guitar pro, which has worked fine. But I'd love to have the ability to play something and have it transcribe it. I already own Melodyne editor, so this is such an awesome feature. I assume to once it's in MIDI I could even import that file back into guitar pro to use with my students. Super cool!

what's your experience on it ? is it do the whole thing for you ? like you've just to play something , record it and the it automatically transcribe your audio "midi" to tabs ?
@got2rock4 Жыл бұрын
Awesome now I don't have to jump to guitar pro to do the same thing.I have seen people do that in reverse and use the midi drums from guitar pro and drag them onto track and convert them to audio to process with ezdrummer. Thanks🎸

Super helpful video! I'm a Studio One user my self and had no idea this was possible. Very helpful for making guitar tabs for my students. Thank you!

Heya - fwiw, while melodyne essential can't edit polyphonic audio, you can still extract the midi after you re-analyze it!

Very interesting tool in Studio one, amazing, may I ask if it is possible to import a guitar mp3 file into studio one and figure out the tabs?

Thanks Tim. Who knew SO could do that as well. Imagine Mozart having Studio One in his day.

This is awesome, I wonder if this could be done in FL Studio? Getting Studio One in the meantime!

Thanks Tim - this is great and I did not know this existed - as a guitarist I can really use this. With Melodyne Editor I think this could be really useful also. So thanks.

Is there a quick way to have the tab in the correct place on the fretboard, I am working with a D Pentatonic run starting around the 7th fret however the score editor insist at writing the tab at the first position on the fretboard.

Hey man, awesome video. I hope I'm not overstepping here, and I'm not trying to come across as whatever, but the closet engineer in me wants to tell you that you could easily back off of your vocal compressor you're using. it's getting every little lip smack and click and pop and pushing it to the front, and I don't really think you need all that for this format. Especially going through one of those broadcast style mics which kid of already do that since they are designed for you to almost swallow them while using, so that they can get rid of any background noise. Just a thought, not saying to get rid of it, just back it off so that it's only grabbing maybe 3-4 dbs max instead of the 6 to 12 it sounds like you have here. I might be totally wrong, but just trying to help.

AMAZING!!! Does it recognize the use of a capo?

Great question! I'll have to check for myself, but I don't believe so. You can just add the capo position in afterwards though!

What am I doing wrong if I don't see that "score view" button? I only see the drum and the midi/keyboard symbols.
@TimTalksAudio2 жыл бұрын
Score view is a Pro level feature of S1. You’ll either need to upgrade to Pro or become a Sphere member.

Great video! Is there a way to create tabs in alternate tunings for Bass e.g. drop A?
@boarder_tom98252 жыл бұрын
or A-standard?

I'm trying to take my ez bass midi and convert it to tab but it doesn't add the right tabs
@davidvierabarreras Жыл бұрын
A BIG PROBLEM that this have is a lack of custom tuning for the tabs, or maybe at least Presonus should be offer more tab presets... I used Drop A (A very common tuning for 7 strings guitars) But I can't write tab inside S1 because they only offers an standard tuning for 7 strings... too bad
