I enjoyed this so much! I’m redoing my art studio. I have an antique cupboard similar to yours that I painted a cream color about 20 years ago. I love it so much!! I’m decorating in the shabby chic style so I’ve been collecting baskets, containers, bottles, old books, linens etc. etc. I’m so excited! I love the way you have yours laid out and decorated! I especially love the old ladder! I’m thinking I need to tell my husband that I need one. Thank you for sharing!

Beautiful space. So calming, simple yet complete. I think the thing that impresses me most is the fact that your style is authentically reflected in not only your work and space, but in your personal style, color choices and simplicity. It’s all very effective, pleasing and inspirational. I love the cohesiveness of it all. I’d love to see more of your house, the wax seals you mention and those stamps too!❤️

You both have such a beautiful working and living space. It feels like an openminded, warm home. It is fascinating, that it feels from this side of the screen, as if you have managed the balance between showing and presenting your relatively silent art in an busy extrovert online career - and regardless knowing and silently enjoying your inner center, just for the two of you.

Shayda - you are "living the dream". Not only in beautiful Charlottetown but in your very well kept art space. I am originally from NS so I appreciate the scenery you can indulge in every day. However, I am new to painting - old timer to craft in general - and I admire your ability to keep your space well identified - that's NS for neat and tidy!! lol! love your work and how you make it possible for the rest of us to create something wonderful. Thank you!

Shayda, unsure if I already wrote my message for this video, but it bears repeating. This was one of THE nicest tours I've watched on youtube. You keep things so organized, clean white, just...lovely. And I ADORE your well-lit, breezy apartment! We also live in an apt in Denver, but if I gave you a tour, you'd faint! LOL. Painting just bit me one day, & our dining room suddenly become my studio, literal junk room to house all of my goodies. In my other life, I live in YOUR apt, not mine--that would enable me to actually draw a satisfying breath. You're an impressive young lady, & I'm beyond delighted I signed up for your patreon, as I'm hoping some of your organization will rub off! Thank you for opening your home to me, to us, & you & Chris live a clean & simple life. Well done, Shayda. Well done. :) Fanna Turano Denver, CO USA

Thank you so much! Yes, it's from Ikea. The drawers come in two sizes and the larger of the two (the one I have) isn't desk height, it comes on casters and is a bit lower. Chris and I removed the casters and added furniture legs that we purchased on Amazon so now it's desk height, just in case you're doing something similar :)

Oh, my goodness! What a lovely tour!! My absolute favorite part was seeing your artwork for each drawer and the supplies/sketchbooks you have. I don't know why, but it made me so happy - not only because your artwork is beautiful, but also because it's nice to know it was a process for you.
