I hope you are well during these days. I hope you are safe where you are, because of the snowstorm. I know you had something else in mind, but I like the results. Myself, I love bright colors and such, but I am also aware that more neutral colors compliment brighter ones. I think your stuff is really, really cute. I like the greyish bluish result and also the pencil design...those lines with pencil. I think your style is really cute and has a simplistic charme. Stick with it. This was such a good vlog! I loved all the ceramics! I loved the flower bowl, and also the pencil detail pieces! I wish we had a ceramics place near by, i would love to take some classes. I did it in highschool, but that was so long ago now lol.

the cat tray looks like you got a marker drawing on a ceramic piece!! keep it! its so good omg also also if you're cool with working with not food safe glazes and firing at cone 6-9, i cannot recommend pete's weathered bronze enough. i would tell myself "haha lets try another glaze this time :)" and then immediately go back to pete. if the place you take your lessons at also does raku i cannot recommend it enough. its So cool and different from the usual ceramics process--I almost minored in ceramics bc of it!

aww man! my studio only allows students to fire cone 10 so I wish I could experiment more with cone 6 clays and glazes -__- and I've always wanted to try raku!!! I should look into this :)

wow! do you have any tips for researching the glazing/firing process? I've taken a couple of beginner's ceramics classes and have gotten better at throwing but we're mainly offered single-color glazing. I feel like there's still so much experimentation and learning I'd like to do with underglazes, etc - I'm just not sure where to start

hmmm I also am quite early on in my process. Everything I've learned beyond single color glazing has been from personal experimentation. I'd recommend either making a test tile with some underglaze swatches on your favorite clays and just see how it turns out fired? I just painted some underglaze on bisqueware and altered my process from there! you could also try looking up some instructional videos on youtube? I'm sure there are some nice like 'intro to underglaze technique' videos out there :)

that's funny cuz i find porcelain is a lot easier to throw than regular stoneware with grog (it seems to catch on my hands and then my object goes off-center)
