Tips if you want pretty notes: 1. Use grid or ruled paper. 2. Write the heading in caps with coloured marker/pen. 3. Use black pen. 4. Don't underline or make clouds while making them, just go with the writing flow. 5. Underline and highlight when you are revising your notes in the end. 6. If taking a 5/10 mins break in between then make doodles here and there to freshen up yourself.

For people like me and you don’t have time to make such aesthetic notes, or your handwriting sucks, here are a few tips I found useful: - Use dotted, lined or grid paper, this keeps it neat, organised and easy to rule straight lines. - Try find a decent pen that suits your style. I found that my handwriting isn’t that bad it’s just the pen I use. I personally go for a more marker type pen because then there are no ink gaps and the colour is more prominent. Though mostly for school I use erasable ones cause I make a ton of mistakes. - Once you found that pen, make sure it’s black as it just looks better. - For titles and subheadings write it in capital letters, if you want colour, highlight the heading with a highlighter. I find pastel coloured highlighters look best on my work, but it is a personal preference. - Make a key that you always follow. (e.g. green for subheadings, pink for titles, purple for extra notes) so it’s organised, or allocate colours to different topics or subjects. Remember the modern calligraphy that people do is more art than writing, some people just have the artistic talent. If you really want to try it, practice during the holidays, that way it won’t take you a lot of time while at school. Honestly it doesn’t matter what your notes look like, as long as you can read it and it helps you pass your tests and exams you’ve done well. Edit: Also when choosing your pen, take into consideration of your handwriting size, because that will influence what size pen you get. My handwriting is fairly small, so I stick with a 0.5mm and for some other pens I use a 0.7mm

Yeah these aren't really that good for actually studying effectively but if you enjoy them then you do you. Note-taking is not a very effective study method and wastes alot of time so if you're looking for actual good study methods then this is not for you. It's good if you just do it for fun though

Tips if you want aesthetic notes: *Before I do this just know you don't need perfect handwriting to do this* - Use ruled paper - Write the heading in highlighter/marker (outline with black pen if you wish) (highlighter/marker can be whatever color you want, i prefer teal) - For notes always use a black pen because it always looks neat and crisp. - Use a quick drying black pen. - Black Gel pens are okay as long as they dry quick otherwise they can smudge the paper. - If you make a lot of mistakes (like me) use correction tape or liquid white-out. - Don't use a lot of underlining/circling otherwise it can make the page look crowded. Use a highlighter. - If you're using a highlighter use one specific color for your one specific subject, if you use a lot of different colors in one subject it can be hard to focus while reading your notes. *I get a lot of people don't find pretty notes doing them good, but for a lot of people (that includes me) it encourages us to study and feel eager to study.* *I hope this information helped :D*

as one of the smart students in class taking around 11 subjects, i can confidently say that pretty notes are a personal preference, talking about myself personally it depends on my mood. if i have the time, ill just decorate a little but you should really see my notes in class HAHAHA sometimes i struggle to understand my own handwriting, if it makes you happy and more excited studying with pretty notes and all, that's great! honestly, you just need to study and that's it, with pretty notes or rough notes, it's for YOUR understanding and YOU should be able to understand it, not satisfy others with your nice handwriting or anything

coming from someone who takes these notes, we just write in class in a normal way and then re write at home. it somewhat counts as studying because you're looking back at your notes and re writing them thus relearning the info. hope this helps!

The content of what you write matters more than how it looks. Your notes don't have to look pretty and your handwriting doesn't have to look printed. Pretty notes or not, what's important is that you understand what you're studying and what you're writing is actually essential to the subject/course you're taking. Remember that every student has a different study and note-taking method. What works for one may or may not be effective for you. Take your time to know what works well for you and what doesn't. I write the notes after I learned a chapter I try to make it pretty but obviously I can't afford so many pens but whatever I have I use them. One more thing making beautiful notes isn't a waste of time instead it's clean and pretty which will really make feel like studying. My advice for note taking: 1.) Don’t write everything shown - Most of the things shown on the board or presentation isn’t always necessary. Write down only the things that are important. I mean, sure, you can write it all if you write fast and just highlight the necessary things later- but I just recommend you to write down main ideas and after that, word it in your own words and understanding after that. 2.) Don’t always write it straight on the notebook - If you want pretty notes, I recommend you write it on an intermediate pad/paper first then rewrite it on the notebook after that. It’s also good so that you can revise it if needed and if the lecture is going very fast. 3.) Put a little box shaped thing under your notes or on another page - This box will serve as the place where you can write the summary, main things or ideas that the topic is talking about. So if ever you’re going to do a quick study/re-read, you can easily go there and do a re-read. Make sure to write it in your own words and understanding. It’s also good so that you would know if you really understand the lesson. Make another box to re-write to correct the mistakes in your understanding if needed. 4.) Use assorted colored pens/highlighters - Use pens and highlighter in different colors. What I recommend is that per subject or chapter, change the color of the pens and highlighters used. It’s good so that you would be more organized and to put the spot light on the main things you need to remember. 5.) Ask to borrow others notes if needed - Sometimes, if the lectures go too fast and you’re not able to write all of it, don’t be shy to borrow others notes! It’s also good to see how others make and take their notes, maybe you can learn and borrow some ways how to.

You don’t need those expensive, VERY pretty. . . 1) get your paper/notebook. (I don’t recommend blank paper) 2) Get a pen, a highlighter and a marker of your choice. 3) Write your headings with the marker. (It doesn’t need to be cursive) 4) Start writing! This is really pretty and I would love to do this, but I just know this would distract me to no end. Both while writing as well as when I'm actually studying. I'm wayyyy too indecisive and slow to decorate my notes any more than just writing some pretty headers. Actually the point of making pretty and aesthetic notes is to paraphrase whatever your writing, so like write about the topic in your own words, and you should be able to understand and memorize whatever you wrote. You should use like one black pen with one highlighter since everything becomes a bit unorganised once you start making EVERYTHING multicolored. Stationary i recommend using: • zebra mildliners [highlighter] • zebra sarasa black pen • line grid paper [it helped me a lot while taking notes while i was in elementary!!!] • this isn't stationary but i use a laptop for my school work since it's more appropriate for my age and i get A LOT of work done so maybe you can start using a laptop/maybe an iPad unless your school allows iPads. [Mine doesn't) • sticky notes • rulers That's it hope it helped! I use all of these items and they really helped me through school, i hope they help you too.

I would recommend you guys that instead of using fancy stuff I prefer that I use a highlighter,black or blue pen but I prefer you a black pen as it looks neat or for like main stuff I sometimes use glitter pen cheap nor expensive and a set of the markers and all are literally out of my budget and yea buy stuff like a set of 8 pens 2 pack 1 blue and another blackin only for 1$

No.1 tip just use a neat paper with lines or squares, pens, highlighter, eraser for pens (correction tape, fluid one-)
