I think yes..there is a good chance of gaining a scholarship if you have good results in AL..first you need to have an admission from a university and then you can apply for a scholarship programme.They will evaluate your situation and give a response..

I watched your conversation with Nuwan re Finland Education. You mentioned many Sri Lankan teachers have said they want to change the system but they can't. I run a school for over aged children who have never been to school from an under privileged community with the intention of breaking the poverty cycle. I'm happy to say our vision is the same as Finland Education. Eg. Exams to assess the children only, giving special attention to each child, etc. This village has many problems within the community. To protect the children from abuse, a Day Care and a class/School for drop outs is a necessity. If you wish to know details or know anyone who will be interested I'll be happy to discuss.
