My tip for first years: DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT FALL BEHIND WITH YOUR SCHOOL WORK! Especially because no one is on your case about it, it's literally your responsibility to make sure that you're up to date

Tips: 1. go to career exhibitions/events. 2. Attend educational events that will help you network with people in corporate or people aligned with your vision/career. 3. Save as much as you can while you still at school because university time flies. 4. Don’t put value/trust in friends. And lastly your roommate is not your friend but your roommate!

Tips: 1. A FILLING breakfast is important especially if you have back to back classes. Avoid/reduce the amount of coffee and sugar intake(it’s all fun and games until you can’t go a morning without it) 2. Don’t be afraid to ask for help 3. Don’t hesitate to take care of your mental health - book an appointment with a therapist if you have to. Universities usually offer counseling and many different resources on campus, use them! trust me you won’t be the only one

Omg my first year was really shaky firstly i don't have that full experience of campus life cause i study through UNISA so i had no class in first semester i study at home but i thought I'd fail cause of no classes . second semester shows me flames 🤣🤣i had 25 assignments 2 portfolios and exams around the corner Tip if u studying through UNISA have a time table n stick to it do all assignments & don't get a full time job if you've got 5 modules 🌻

in that matter of trying to finish the whole bottle tjo guys lemme testify. the day of freshers party at loftus park ,I bought a bottle of Tanqueray gin ,while i was still in my room I drank like a quarter ,then i walked to lofus park and i carried the bottle with me . when i got there i was already DRUNK and my body was dissy but no mahn the inner me wanted to party, then boom the securities told me that no bottles are allowed i had to finish the tanquery bottle for me to enter n i FINSHED it within 5 minutes....tjooooo.....long story cut short.....from all the things that i left with to that GIG ,the only thing i managed to return to my room with was my self n the clothes i was wearing ,it was not a good experience at all .
