Hello pastors and brothers in Christ. Thank you for uploading this video. It is indeed a beautiful story of redemption like you mentioned earlier. In this story I learned how to truly trust God in sincerity despite hard ships in life. God will restore life meaning he will bring us back into his front yard but it comes with disciplining and petitioning...we have to be faithful through all the hard times and trials in life like Ruth who didn't stray from her relationship with the Saviour. Joseph could've given up..Job could've given all up when his wife tells him "Why don't you curse your God..Look what he's doing to you"... Faith is the key to all the hard ships in life no matter how dark life can be and it is .Faith and Prayer and obedience are the keys...because (If youre with God who can be against you?) I love that verse..This story also relates to Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God" JOB 23:10 "And he knows the way that I take..And when he has tested me..I shall come forth as Gold" (I LOVE THAT VERSE AS WELL) So we see that God is behind it all...I wanna worship this God in the Bible...The only true God. In the meantime we have to "Examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith" 2nd Corinthians 13:5....Jesus help us to trust in you!!!

Very nice teaching. I like how you saw the love and strength in Naomi and didn't criticize her for being bitter. Like you said, we have all been there. And yes, Ruth was a faithful friend, and Naomi must have been special. It's too bad the other daughter in law went back to her old land. We never heard of her again after that.

Wowie, thanks for this study! What came to mind when you mentioned Naomi and her family to go to the land of Moab because her own situation was worse, i think Ruth Did exactly the same, as did Rachab on the Jericho wall. Marvelous how God can and wants to work with people who are willing to leave their comfort behind And go with what They at first perceive to be the enemy..

I think ruth didn't want to take back her daughter in laws because she didn't want people at home to see how disobedient her sons were marrying Moab women which were enemies of the Israelites. ( Just my take ).

Ruth was a young girl. Naomi was the mother-in-law of Ruth. Naomi was the one who offered the opportunity of returning to Moab to her 2 dtr-in-laws (Ruth & Orpha). Orpha returned, but Ruth pledged her loyalty to Naomi, and said she would support Naomi in all things and convert to the Hebrew faith. My opinion is that Ruth was probably no older than age 16-17. Age of marriage for girls at this time was age 12. So she married Mahlon at age 12. Her husband then died (no reason is supplied). Naomi also lost her husband, Elimelch, and Orpha lost her husband. Seems to me this could have happened to all three. Maybe this was a military activity and all 3 perished at the same time. This left 3 widows with NO income, so they were now beggars as women had NO source of income from work. So the 3 had to search other places in order to stay alive. In Judea, where the women were going to, the Hebrew law stated that the poor and Widows were guaranteed to be allowed to glean in the fields, gardens, etc. to have food and a means of staying alive. Boaz must have been middle age (35-40). Boaz was rich and had no wife. Naomi tells her young dtr-in-law to crawl under Boaz's cloak while he is sleeping. Ruth MUST have been a teenager to look to her mtr-in-law and follow that kind of instruction. Had Ruth been discovered in such a compromising position as sleeping at Boaz's feet she would most likely have been stoned to death as a harlot.
