Thanks 🙏 very much for this great effort that shows your love and dedication to teaching this piece. I urge my students to listen to Kreisler, Shumsky and now the relatively youthful Janine Jannsen playing of the same to realize that the waltz has UM - Pah - pa (subtle varying decrescendo) in the Viennese tradition ! in short , lots more to capture the sobbing first time to the final where Fritz IS almost rescuing us from our pervasive romantic silly wooly-headedness that is so sweet like the Mozartian brand of chocolates 🍫 they sell every tourist in Vienna! even in the recording!!

Thank you! Love how you interpret the music (indeed life!) so beautifully also giving us technical alternatives which inspires artistic freedom. I really hadn’t thought about reducing bow and finger pressure on the downward slide. It makes a big difference to phrasing in between notes on the violin, providing one lands at the destination correctly!
