Beautiful explanation Roy, it is a magnificent study element that you share with the people who enjoy violin singing so much, and it is also wonderful study material, thank you very much, hugs and applause. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙏🏻😉

This was so good, I love how your voice is soooo... I just cant explain it, but your violin playing feels soft and your explanation was so good. This is easily a 10/10 video.

Seen and heard only this one video - and immediately subscribed! This is exactly the sort of explanation and introduction into music I needed so badly. Thank you soooo much for helping me to a better understanding of the structures, of the idea behind the notes and the beauty and possibilities that lie within!

@@roysonne Thank you very much for your kind offer! For the time being I am very happy with this general overviews and I have found a recorder teacher whom I can ask for details. But more of such teachings about specific categories of styles of music would be very welcome! My knowledge in music is, sad to say, very limited, but my wish to learn is big. :)

This is so incredibly helpful. I'm really glad I stumbled upon this! Hi & thanks from Macau, China! I'm still struggling with having my fingers not touch the other string during some of the double stops, but -- this gives me something to work on!

Extremely grateful for these videos I can’t afford a teacher and am an adult beginner, very old😱 but have played guitar for thirty five years and banjo as well as other instruments, violin is definitely the hardest thing I have ever attempted though. Thanks again for taking the time.

Thank you, Roy. All your Masterclasses I've seen are great. I really like the "feeling" approch you teach. At the end it is what music is all about: expressing emotions and feelings. (by the way, your website is down, maybe you need to check with your hosting company as this happens when there is some wrong setting or missing page)
