Jasmine, you are such a sweet, beautiful soul. Anyone and everyone can see that, even though we don't know you 'personally'. It takes a huge amount of courage to express raw feelings, and I sincerely hope that myself and others can help you through those dark days when it takes all your strength just to get out of bed. I'm almost on the verge of tears because I can 100% feel what you're feeling. Just know that those days will pass, and better ones will come 💖 So much love and support for you!

A quick note to everyone taking online AP exams- I know they are stressful, but remember to just breathe! You've put in so much effort and the exam is just a way to show what you know. Don't forget that you are so incredibly smart- don't let some test tell you otherwise. You are more than a score on a test that won't matter in 10 years. While I don't know you, I believe you are truly a magnificent person with a wonderful personality. With that said, you embody traits that make your character so much more than a number. You are you. And that's all that matters. I wish you all the best, and don't doubt yourself! Go show College Board who is boss! :)

I feel you. Hang in there. I had 3 in person exams last week. I still have one this week. My anxiety now is not even focused on the fact that i'm not studying enough, but on going outside, especially in a group. My mom and dad wanted to walk with me around our district yesterday and i thought i was gonna faint and have ibs at the same time. I felt ill. Thank god i could talk them down from dragging me along. But even alone when i go out i need to be back as soon as i can, so that i can prevent an ibs attack. It worked last week, so i was very happy. Interestingly i didn't have any problem during those 3 exams. Infact i couldn't go at all for half of that week. Sorry for being tmi. But i know we both can do this. The exam i was most afraid i wasn't gonna pass has been corrected and i got 3 out of 5. (5 is best here) so i was very happy. I passed, i won't be needing that in college or uni. I know we can do this. See if you can find some calming exam affirmations. Hearing and saying them did the trick for me. We humans are awesome information sponges. We can go and retrive information from years ago. As a person with anxiety i know it can feel overwhelming but we can call on our minds with medication and breathing. We can do this. I suddenly feel motivated this morning for the first time in about a year. So imma organize my room and study for my superior level exam(elevated, or AP or whatever in other countries). Good luck (and sorry for being tmi), J

jasmine, don’t feel the need to maintain a “perfect” persona on your channel! it’s perfectly okay to show your imperfections on this channel! if you want, you can make a channel to rant about random things that wouldn’t necessarily fit into this style of content you have on this channel. either way, i hope you feel better overall and i hope your mental health recovers! also happy early birthday! i probably won’t be able to catch the birthday livestream, but i’ll try my best to come anyway! have a good day!

For the piercing issue: Basically the material could be irritating your skin, this has happened to me especially with cheaper earrings from the drugstore and stuff. I would take them out and let it heal and maybe change out the earring. You should also put coconut oil on the pierced area, I learned this from my mom and it helps it so maybe try that out?

Hey Jasmine, this comment is VERY LATE but when you expressed your struggles, I could totally relate. I always tell myself that "Oh, I'm gonna be productive today! I'm going to work out, do a ton of math practice, and read a lot of books!" The next day i wake up at 3 pm, doing nothing but eating ramen and gummy bears while watching KZbin. We all have good and bad days. But these times let us show what we can improve on. Don't put so much pressure on yourself to be perfect. Being the best version of yourself doesn't mean you have to be perfect. It means to be a better person than yesterday. When the rain pours, it pours, it's inevitable. There will be times where you don't get much done. Then the sun shines, and you're happy and very productive. Just know not to rush into things and put pressure on yourself. Please keep on being your amazing self, and i admire you for showing your raw emotions. Please keep doing this. Thank you! You have a beautiful heart, and you're more genuine with your subscribers now, which makes me very happy! I wish you the best in everything you do. You are MORE ENOUGH, beautiful, smart, talented, and amazing. Every bad day happens, but tomorrow is a new day, and a new chance. Thank you Jasmine :)

i remember when I got my ears pierced when I was younger, the same thing happened to me. I went to a doctor about it, because it shouldn't bleed when it takes out - turns out it usually means that your ear is refusing to accept your earrings, because you are allergic to the material your earring is made of. this usually happens for earrings that are cheaper and not made of quality. you have to find a pair that is either made of pure gold or silver, and apply some disinfectant cream as for now. later down the line you can wear them again when they heal up, which may take a month from my experience since the skin is already very irritated. but find a good pair, always wash and clean your piercing and apply disinfectant cream onto your pierced lobe before bed and when you wake up, and don't spin it around until it's all in the clear. you'll know it's all healed when you remove it and there is no pain, or it isn't swollen the next day after you remove it. hope this helps!

I know this is like, a month later, and you may be feeling differently than in this moment that you captured, but I just wanted to say thank you for your vulnerability about worrying that you won't be good enough. I also struggle with this a lot, and it often fuels my cycles of burnout. I royally burnt myself out in high school, to the point of having to be hospitalized and scale back my extracurriculars to almost zero. I just finished my second year of college, so I have a little bit of space from that time (my junior year) and I want to commend you for being able to recognize the signs of burnout like I saw you do in this video. I just want to say that you are one of the people I have looked to as a reference of how to kick ass. With your academics and your online presence, you really have done a lot of things well from my perspective. You have so much going for you, but I am sure because of what you shared you might feel like you have to push harder and harder to feel accomplished in the future. Honestly, the hardest thing for me to learn was that as satisfying as visible feedback on success is (like grades and praise) it doesn't always replenish what I depleted working for it. I don't know if that speaks to you, but I am really glad that you are able to say to yourself that you have done a lot of things well, even though it might not resonate fully at the moment. You got this dude.

I've always known you were fit, but this video just showed me how fit you actually are - running wise. I can never talk myself into running willingly! I just wanna say that I know how you feel. There will be those days when you never feel like you're the best version of yourself and at the same time, you feel like the worst version of your normal self, but still not the worst version of how you actually could be, if that makes sense. For me, it's been lasting a couple of weeks now. It helps knowing other people could also feel this way, and how you're rejuvenating yourself throughout the ordeal. I really appreciate knowing how honest you are with yourself and with your channel. After all, we don't really know what to do with our lives and we're just taking it one day at a time. It helps being reminded to just take it easy in some days.

The way you described the feeling you have of never being good enough as your expectations or only thinking of the bad parts of yourself is exactly the way I feel sometimes. It comes in waves and some periods I'm just stuck in the cycle of feeling bad and being disappointed and angry at myself for not being able to do anything right (which is obviously not true). When I then accomplish something or do something good, I just dismiss it and think that that's what normal people would've done easily and I'm just finally catching up a bit, or I think it was just luck like you said. Basically it's not an accomplishment because it isn't extraordinary. What I've realized helps me a bit is just talking to my thoughts and always looking on the flipside. If i think I'm not doing well on this one thing, look how far I've come already, or if I'm thinking about a thing I said or did I think about the people that were there and if they would even remember and think about it (no). Anyway, just flipping and looking at the opposite perspective helps me realize I'm not as bad as I make myself think I am.

Within 2-3 days is normal! I got my ears pierced really young but my nose was pierced last year..so I relate to the swelling part! 3-4months and you can take them out! And after taking them like 2 times they’ll turn out normal! They won’t hurt or bleed or swell anymore unless the material of the ornament doesn’t suit one’s skin type! Take care! Loads of love! You inspire me a lot Jasmine!🌸

This is so wholesome and honest, I feel like this *a lot* too, and it's hard to get out of the thought, but knowing that your expectations are unreal is somewhere to start! Thank you for being so honest even if it's just for the small portion, too many youtubers are only showing their *highlight reel* when in reality, their life is much different. Life is a competition against yourself, to become the best self you can, not a competition against others (even if it feels like that sometimes) You are amazing! You are beautiful! You are strong! You are worth more than how you feel compared to others!

who’s gonna tell her how amazing she is? like plz ur so gorgeous. and don’t think ur not doing enough, bc ur doing ur best. I kinda become upset when I heard u saying that u think u accomplished things by luck. ur doing beyond amazing, so plz believe in ur self. I’m much worser than u... I’ve never been productive for about a month, and I can tell I’m kinda depressed about it. but one of the reasons I keep pushing is ur videos. I wish u all the best and please don’t compare ur weaknesses to other’s strength in the same field. bc we all have flaws and no one is perfect. And our flaws is what makes us unique. stay healthy, hydrated and take a rest when needed.

Hey study quill! Just letting you know that I have SO much respect for you for showing your raw feelings about life and getting it together in general. For the past years I've been watching you, I've always thought you were incredibly perfect in being productive with your life 😅 I guess it makes me feel nice to see that we are not all perfect, not even you! And we can't always have it completely together 24/7

Hey! I’ve had a really hard day too, I know I “should” be studying for my AP exam tomorrow but I just can’t bring myself to do it. I’ve been lazy all day and I just have to accept that if my brain and body need it then they need it. I hope we both can get out of this funk! Enjoy your morning/afternoon/night

Hey Jasmine, re: piercing. It really depends on the person how long/well your piercings heal. I recommend talking (emailing?) your piercer (in addition to your doctor(. They should be knowledgeable on the causes and maybe recommend other materials that doesn’t irritate your skin. Oh but please don’t let it close up when it’s irritated because you might trap the infection inside your ear. You made a good decision putting your earring back in! Always talk to professionals :) Also thank you for sharing both your productive and “non-productive” days, it’s quite helpful to see how other people deal with the ups and downs in everyday life! And I can totally relate to binge watching personal finance videos while snacking lol

To fight bad states just take some time to plan your schedule a bit different: write down not only big deals like study for an exam or write an essay but also turn something big out into small steps. Crossing one thing tell yourself that you've done well even if you know it was something small. Hey, you are happy because you are alive!

Your techniques work for me 100 per cent! I started making my notes in your style ( minus the calligraphy and aesthetics, cuz I'm bad in that) but it has drastically improved my learning skills! And not just that, all your videos motivate me to be a better productive version of myself! Thank you for being such an amazing person!

One of my favorite parts of your channel is that you’re in the exact same life stage as I am. I’ve never watched a KZbinr who was my age, going through the same kinda stuff at the same time. I’ve loved your recent videos and I’m excited to see your content as you head into college!

16:30 Omg I feel this all the time. I've been really devoted to school and studying since I was young but just recently discovered study tubers. I like the community but it's honestly sooooo stressful to see people with amazing neat, super human printer notes lol, amazing grades and organized clear lives. I feel so messy and out of place no matter what i do. Im never doing enough and I will never achieve my goals. Im so stressed all the time and can never take a day off due to the fear of being behind. Thanks for summing up my ideas and making me feel no so alone

It also works for me everytime I feel burnouts or just having a messy mental state that I need to clean my whole room. Declutter, rearrange, clean. And if I am still not satisfied or still feel discomfort, I'll go an clean the whole house 'till my heart's content.
