This is the best recipe I have ever tried!! So easy, so delicious, so warm and sweet for fall...and the seeds made a great snack while the food finished up!!!

Literally so confused why you don't have a series on Food Network. Praying that happens one day!
@patty-cf7jj8 жыл бұрын
I've wondered for years why there's no vegan show on Food Network and I read it has to do with the sponsors...the meat and dairy industry.
@hotforfood8 жыл бұрын
well FN is afraid to do a plant based show because TV is so archaic and safe :)
@yes25425 жыл бұрын
Because tv is a safe space.

You guys must have read my mind I just bought acorn squash and was looking for a recipe for it and I ironically just made a ton of brown rice and have it in the fridge. Not in Canada but I guess I'm celebrating Thanksgiving this week too lol

Lauren, your cookbook can't come out fast enough. I hope it includes all recipes you've done on this channel. These look so delicious!!
@hotforfood8 жыл бұрын
It will be mostly new recipes ofc ourse, because I can't very well charge you for something you've already seen and made!! Plus publisher requires it to be mostly new recipes, but a few classics will be sprinkled in there :D SPRING 2018..... MARK IT IN YOUR CALENDAR!
@Devmitch448 жыл бұрын
I for one wouldn't mind being charged for recipes we've already seen! :) It would be great to have them all in a book, but I get that the publisher would require mostly new ones. No matter what's in there, I'm sure it will be awesome! Everything I've ever made of yours has been delicious!! Keep up the great work...come on spring 2018!

Beautiful recipe! I love how you incorporated the seeds of the squash and used them as a garnish! Most people don't think twice and just throw them out it's such a waste. I can't help but think that vegan chefs are so much more creative and appreciative of food than traditional chefs.

sorry for the stupid question but whats the difference between u.s. thanksgiving and canadian thanksgiving?? (im from europe)
@hellyeahsara8 жыл бұрын
im from Europe too, but I think Lauren said that Candian thanksgiving comes earlier
@dthomasfields8 жыл бұрын
Canadian one comes about a month and a half earlier
@elisasonn15328 жыл бұрын
oooh thanks :)
@lszvanci8 жыл бұрын
It comes first because Canada's last harvest is earlier due to the shorter growing season than the States.

I never would have thought of adding tahini to rice but wow does it give the rice a deep "stuffing" flavor when mixed with the other ingredients. I can see myself making this all the time now as a rice/stuffing side even without any squash, its so good! Also if you have any leftovers i think it tastes even better the next day which is one of my favorite elusive meal qualities.
