"A child should not grow up without a mother." Cool, find Stella a better mother.
@debshaw6803 жыл бұрын
If anything happens to the child, she won’t get the money. She can never get it because of her crime. If her daughter dies it will go to another more distant relative or be divided up among all living relatives on both sides of the family. (The child’s grandparent’s families) Failing to find any living relatives, the state will confiscate it. The money will be in a trust until the child is an adult that the killers can’t touch. It will only pay regular living educational expenses. That’s how these work. The situation will be monitored by the court until the child reaches legal age as the court set which in this case may be 21 but may also be over 25 in order to give the child time to mature and to get out from under her mother’s grasp.

Hey Mike, did you see that yesterday Heather was detained by the FBI? I'm assuming you did, but in case not... She served 7 out of her 10 yr sentence in Bali and was scheduled to arrive in the US, specifically L.A. yesterday morning with her daughter and her lawyer was waiting for her. However, the FBI arrested her when her plane first arrived in Chicago. They charged her with Conspiracy to Commit Murder, stating the planning of her mother's murder actually occurred in Illinois. It was priceless! Extra: Today, 07/16, I did find some more information. There have been many delays in her trial, but I found out today that because it is in Federal Court, no cameras or audio will be allowed. So, we will only get sketches and newscasts from reporters in the courtroom. I was hoping it would be live streamed, but nope. UPDATE: On June 16th, 2023 Heather Mack pled guilty, in federal court to one count of Conspiracy to Kill a U. S. National - the 2014 death of her mom, Sheila Von Weiss Mack. Due to the plea, the other more minor charges against her were dropped. This was not what is called a "negotiated plea" which means that no agreement on sentencing was put in place. Due to the plea, the other charges were dropped, but that doesn't mean she is getting a specific or lower sentence. The maximum sentence for this federal charge is life in prison, but her lawyers are hoping that she will get no more than 28 years, hopefully less. According to all of the verifiable news reports. The judge will sentence her on December 18th. While her trial was delayed many times, the sentencing should not, so it is December 18th, 2023 for sentencing.

One good case in point was another That Chapter episode, if I recall right. This guy pretended to attend and graduate from a prestigious college, and not long after the celebration dinner where his parents gave him a Rolex watch, he hired some guys to kill them, because he didn't actually have a degree to start a great career like they thought he did. Obviously they didn't deserve to friggin DIE, but the only way he could have kept them fooled for years is if they just weren't involved enough, and didn't know him (their SON!) well enough to sense that he was being deceptive. @@suemccarthy853 I know they did, and they should be impartial, but as I stated, I don’t agree. Looking at all of the other facts, and evidence, I think that was a misinterpretation on their part, after witnessing mother and daughter fight, and police responding. I think that poor woman was at her wits end with a crazy, violent, criminal problem-child. I think it’s a very difficult situation for any parent to deal with.
