The parking stand on baumalites grinder is lower than the WM24 and can drag the ground for some people. Woodland mills parking stand is higher and it allows the grinder to be put deeper into the ground.

Thanks, I'm in the market for a purchase but I was wondering if it was really worth it. I have a back hoe on an 88 HP tractor and it is taking me forever to dig out some rather large stumps and I have hundreds of them on my property. This is the first video that broke this down in a very concise way that made me understand the time factor and how to set up the back up camera. Great job guy's! I believe I am ready tor make a purchase now and that it will be a big asset to my back hoe for doing this type of work.

Thanks Rod, glad it was helpful to you. One variable that will impact time per stump is the age and tree type. Those were pine stumps so a little softer and thus a little faster. I too have a backhoe, but only on my JD 2032R, and i agree, lots of time trying to get them dug up and i've seen numerous folks bend their hydraulic cylinders digging stumps.

I have the bauma light on my 1025r. I paid less than 2500 delivered with tractor time with tim discount code. I've ground up probably 50ish stumps. The biggest 34 inches across. Maple The camera is awesome because it's hard on your neck sitting side saddle. Everything he said was pretty much true. But harder wood stumps take longer. I have a backhoe on my tractor to and I've dug up a bunch also. The stump grinder is less intrusive than digging up stumps when your not wanting to harm other trees root system if the stump is really close to other trees as well as other objects.

Great feedback thanks for sharing. He did tell me that newer and hardwood stumps take longer. Yeh I’ve seen some major holes from using the backhoe.

When I first looked at stump grinders both were the same price A year later the woodland Mills was not changed but Baumalight was 50% more

That’s crazy. I wonder what causes the jump in price? Possible point of origin for raw materials? I’m not sure where either is manufactured.
