I think you can answer my question, if water glass is dried in sunlight, does it leave glass shards? Like actual glass is it sharp, secondly does it have adhesive properties too?

Not really. It eventually reacts with C02 while losing water to make hard silica gel. It can get kind of sharp, but its not hard enough to do much--it cracks/breaks very easy. It does have adhesive properties and is used extensively in industry for making cardboard and carton sticker paste/adhesive for those properties. But it eventually gets very brittle and powdery--so it is not very good for long term.

Seems like it is a modified sodium silicate, with colloidal, nano sized particle of the sodium silicate in the water. I wonder if they used fumed silica as the silica stock? It could also be lithium silicate, as I know this is used to treat wood--adds like a hydrophobic coating.
