Jackson understood what Thomas Jefferson was saying when he said: “If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.” - Thomas Jefferson I have read and reread this quote MANY times and every time I do it becomes more and more important to me and to this nation. This one quote could serve as the blueprint for banking activity that has led to every depression and recession that we have had over the past 100+ years. It also reminds me of the 1920s, often called "The Roaring Twenties", as an example of "inflation" in this quote, and "deflation", also in this quote, as an example of the 1930s where a deflationary depression occurred because of two primary reasons: 1) the banks had a large portion of the gold money in the US and refused to lend it; and 2) the Fed raised interest rates rapidly into the teeth of what should have been a normal recession but that escalated into The Great Depression, thanks primarily to Fed bungling. This is definitely not the only example of such bungling on the part of the Fed. The Fed calling inflation "transitory" is but another example in a long string of their incompetent actions.

My wife and I replaced our temperamental pellet stove with a real wood stove a couple of years ago and love the wood stove for its even heat and cheap or even free fuel. W sometimes boil water for coffee, tea, or soup on it and even cook our meals on it when bad weather cuts the electrical power here. There is a lot of scrap wood in our area and in many cases, one can collect it for merely hauling it away. Gold and silver are biocides...bacteria and viruses die upon contact with gold or silver. If you live right, you'll have a heavy golden toe once you die. If you cut off the toes of older dead people and melt them down, you'll get about an ounce of gold. It's where the term golden toe comes from. What you get is a 99% loss of purchasing power. The Fed itself admits to a 97% loss of purchasing power for the US$. Whether one uses the 97% figure or the more accurate 99% figure is pretty much irrelevant at this stage. Either one is horrible and the Fed allowed it to happen via their inept policies over the years of finding a 2% inflation rate to be acceptable. But the thing is, the Fed understates the inflation rate by 50%, so a 2% rate is in reality a 4% rate. Their so-called 9.3% inflation rate high of several months ago was in reality an 18.6% inflation rate. While these numbers are not completely exact, they are close enough to get the real meaning across.

I hear these claims about gold and silver protecting your wealth. As a newcomer to the arena, I do not understand how that works when the powerful money people such as Blackrock, gov't, wallstreet, etc. can manipulate the market/value of each. Additionally, you have to over pay to get it and are offered less when you try to cash in. How does this make sense or protect purchase power? It is first about self and family preservation and then hard assets that maintain value. In a dollar hyper-inflation event survival basics are needed first. 1) Clean water, stored food, shelter with heat, supplies of all kinds and tools to protect and survive. 2) Then Hard assets for Barter. Silver is set to take off in value, but it is about future needs n barter. This is all about how to protect your freedom under God versus a one world globalist society where we are told by the unelected parasites - the globalists, that "You will have nothing and be Happy". The mantra of the WEFfers
@edb38773 ай бұрын
Quite a lot, actually, although the *real* risk here is staying 100% in a dying currency with all your wealth, whatever that might be. One needs to be well diversified in their finances, so owning multiple asset classes is the best way to ensure that at least part of your money is in the things that are rising in price over time. Both silver and gold become more valuable as the currency depreciates via inflation. Your purchasing power remains about the same over time, which fiat currency does not do. Markets can be manipulated and it is my thesis that ALL markets are manipulated in one way or another. This is not specific to gold and silver. But the trick to this is that as individual investors, we are MUCH more nimble than the BIG guys. We can act quickly, buy low, sell high, and be gone with our profits. The big money people only worry about other big money people, not us small fry investors. We can and do make good money that we can then protect by buying gold and silver. When I 1st bought gold in late 2013, I paid $1184 per oz. for the 5 gold Maples I bought. That was less than $6,000. Today, those same coins are worth around $12,600. I think that I can stand the loss of $250 in premiums. Same for silver that I bought at $14-$15 an oz. and now it is in the $28-$30 area. This isn't quite as good as gold has done but it's not at all bad. But PMs ARE a long game and we do need to sit on it for years in order to reap the rewards we are due from it. If you can't do this, then you may be buying more PMs than you can afford. It's good to have some cash set aside as well for emergencies that come along at times and the best investing / market advice I can give people is: "Never let the market decide when you can and can't sell an asset." Having some cash means that one never needs to sell an asset at a loss because the cash is there to handle the issue. Even stock investors know that invested money should be the money that you're pretty sure you won't be needing for the next 5+ years. PMs are similar, although 5-10 years is the usual suggested holding time. I've stacked since early in 2010 and have zero regrets about it.
@lerak84523 ай бұрын
Watch some PM videos on people calling LCSs and see what they get. It'll be hard for some people to cash out your PM go up. If silver hit $50 an ounce overnight and you go to your LCS. They can tell you they don't want to buy now or offer you $30 an ounce even though the spot is $50.
@terryrempel683 ай бұрын
@@lerak8452 Context matters The US is facing an international loss of confidence in the US dollar. 1) It no longer has petro-dollar status 2) The US dollar is being used less and less as the instrument of international trade. 3) China has slashed it's holdings from over 3 trillion to under 700 billion. Japan has been selling US treasuries. 4) The BRICS currencies system is close to being implemented. 5) OPEC countries are using non-dollar currencies The US dollar is on life support. The US is paying proxy nations like the Cayman islands and Ireland to buy huge volumes of US treasuries. The US is also overtly buying it's own treasuries Are you buying PMs to position yourself for the upcoming currency devaluation or do you believe all is fine and you won't need PMs to barter with in the near future?

I believe that this is when the shooting will start because those of us who are prepared for hard times know that our lives depend on the things that we've set aside in good times so we can eat and keep warm during the bad times. I especially despise those who COULD prep but who choose not to. They will be the ones leading the charge for the government "to do something". As in ALL other cases, the government will make more lousy decisions on this, particularly those who won't be risking their lives to steal the preps of those who know with absolute clarity that these are essential to remaining alive and well.

Saying the dollar is going to last forever is like saying the denarius would last forever. The denarius died when they started adding cheap metals to the coins and that’s already happened here, add on the debt, money printing, and the bad policy it’s clear… and honestly I don’t think we have a year before even the normies will be able to see it.
@edb38773 ай бұрын
The normies? lol WE are the normal folks who look ahead in life to see what problems could result in the future. Once there, we create a plan and implement it to minimize the damage such problems could do to us and our lives.

Hey Yankee: Notice the jump in Gold an Silver spot this AM? Near 2% for Gold and over 3% for silver. A price pressure response? We will have to wait and see, but this may be the beginning of the effect of the sudden increased demand by Russia and the Large US banks. This may be more price pressure than Comex/LBMA price suppression efforts can handle. We could be looking at the start of a rapid price run up

Silver and Gold dealers are so convincing kind of like a used car dealer.
@edb38773 ай бұрын
Try to note that there are basically 2 kinds of PM dealers: 1) those who are in it strictly for the money; and 2) those who are in it because they believe in honest money so strongly they want everyone to benefit from it. There are even a few honest used car dealers but their numbers are a tiny fraction of the rest. 😕

Will silver increase in the reset also? Why is gold rising faster then gold.? Can you talk about historical ratios for silver to gold and gold to platinum and how far off we are from That.

I'm looking at a partial roll-over of my IRA to a SD Bullion PMs IRA. Will start with $50k and go from there. I like their approach to this, being that they are a 1-stop shop with no other companies involved. When more than 1 company is involved, who do you blame when there is a foul up? Typically, they both point their fingers at the other company, resulting in no satisfaction for the customer. With a 1-stop shop, there are no others to blame for a mistake. They OWN it!

Bottom line, as long as money isn't backed by real gold, everything is a farce. You're constantly being paid with currency being devalued 24/7. Like a gerbil running fast inside a little wheel inside a cage. After you've completed your run, your in the same position as when you began running. Plus, tired, exhausted. Nothings changed.

Why won’t America print a bunch of currency and buy a lot of gold with. It? I’ve asked myself this question for years.

Because it wants to go digital to have more control and be able to kick the Can further and longer . all at the push of a button no energy wasted no physical currency ..just more made up thin air nonsense ...basically its the G7 nations verses the east in the bigger scope.. the east has far more gold then US so the US doesn't want to give up any advantge . but thankfully people are finally starting to wake up to Gold Silver and PM's... as their dollars are being inflated away into oblivion ..

I keep fiat around because that's what most people expect and want. However, I do know some local farmers that are willing to trade for silver. Any fiat my family can live without gets converted to money.

Lynette, do you believe all new money (credit) must be created as debt, or since so many are drawing incomes from taxes paid on productivity do you believe any government fiscal/public deficit should be created debt-free with no claim on in the future and spent into the economy and employment at ZERO interest to control inflation better than it is now?
