Tadej turned 26 in Sept, still many more years racing ahead of him. Lots of time to win more and cement the title of greatest to ever do it. I think he still has a bit to go to overtake Merckx. Tadej is the closest thing to Merckx that's for sure.

Remco did the right thing going solo, but he just looked gassed in races after the Olympics. Still a great season for him.
@Oliver_Gantfeldt
@Oliver_Gantfeldt Ай бұрын
The reason he won olympic Road race was because Tadej wasnt there. Lets be honest. Today Remco put more than a minute to his competitors. If Tadej wasnt here, everybody would say Remco is in top shape with a brilliant and incredible solo move with 40 k to go. But when he finish 3 minutes behind Tadej, people say he’s not in top shape. Come on. Remco is a phenomenon, but Tadej is probably the greatest ever. We’ll see in 2-6 years

he had an amazing season historic too...he is wired he is wired like a champ. love the emotion he improved in every aspect , he matured a lot, and he took on best in every discipline. felt symbolic after silencing every doubter he finished at lombardia. should be proud and full of confidence . he will only improve too once his team improves and peloton starts racing tadej like necessary , like quickstep against fabian cancellara in prime, he can beat tadej in monuments/ one days. remco reminds me of hinault so much. hes that good! great time to enjoy cycling just need young french grand tour prospect

There are no secrets in the Peleton. If he is doping, why can't the other UAE riders stay with him. Jonas supposively has doped. Why can't he stay with him? Jonas beat him in two consecutive TDF. Every time someone wins big, the amount of allegations - with no proof - arises. Winners win, and losers whine and complain ( not all ). Tadej is the best cyclist in the peleton, and everyone loves him. He treats everyone with kindness and grace. Even his own UAE team of riders says he is a physiological and psychological masterclass above all of them . And on doping controls, they are around before and after each race/ stage. And if his hair wasn't ruining the aerodynamics of his helmet who he be even faster? 🤪

The colnago also tests among the slowest modern high end bikes. Given he averaged 41kmh in that race, aero matters enormously, so he'd get even bigger gaps downhill for example. Doesn't matter when he's in pelotons (not pulling), and he climbs so fast the bike is costing him at least 2 or 3W.

Someone is always stronger than everyone else. If it wasn't Pogacar cleaning up the Tour de France, then it would have been Vingegaard. And if it hadn't been Vingegaard it would have been Evenepoel.

O modo como o Pogacar anda de bicicleta, me faz lembrar de uma norte americano, onde o mesmo saia em disparada na frente de todos e, mesmo assim, ganhava as corridas sem esforço nenhum....acho estranho.

Remco should be super proud of the great year he has done. If the monster Tadej was not there he would have won solo by 2 minutes over the chasers. But the 2024 Tadej has just been untouchable... what a performance! Movistar should think on changing the attitude from Enric Mas, with that head he will never win anything. Riders with less legs than he has have achieved much more victories.

So of the entire peloton, of which everyone knew who would attack, and when the attack would occur, not one rider with or without a teammate was prepared to at least try and stay on his wheel?
@Elu_ahah
@Elu_ahah Ай бұрын
If it was so easy to stay on his wheel, you’d probably see riders do that. If someone tries (e.g. O‘Connor in the Giro), they will pay for that because no one can follow him.
