Really like your 2 kids in a candy store attitude! Jimmy, it takes a while, about a year or so and the black propane hose off the tank may get hard and stiff. If so watch for leaks around the crimp fitting. Think the water tank improvements was a good idea. Bumps and potholes won’t get you, but dips, especially in and out of parking lots with a grade will. Just go REAL slow! Nice work kiddos
@JimmyandNatalie3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! That’s really helpful! I’ll make sure to keep an eye on the propane hoses 😊 And yes, we’ll be especially careful about any suspicious looking parking lots!

That’s awesome to here! Yeah it caused us a lot of trouble as well until we finally got a battery cutoff switch. We never did diagnose the drain but at least this fixes it!

What about insulating the water tanks for cold weather travel
@JimmyandNatalie3 жыл бұрын
Odds are that most of our travels for at least 2022 will be in >40 deg F weather. If we decide to venture to colder climates we might rethink what we have 😁

Use construction adhesive on your tile
@JimmyandNatalie3 жыл бұрын
We bought stick on fake tile, so it comes with a sticky back
@gail-sw9xg3 жыл бұрын
@@JimmyandNatalie sometimes the adhesive they use, especially if the tile has been sitting in a hot warehouse, will fail. If that happens you can fix it with a tube of liquid nails.

What are you doing to seal the counter top from spills where the tv is going to be like someone drink or something
@JimmyandNatalie3 жыл бұрын
We will probably use some kind of weather seal, like the kind that are used around exterior doors/windows. It won’t be a perfect seal, but it should at least give us more time to clean up any major spills (knock on wood) 😅

Just starting my build but having a similar battery draining issues. Do you happen to have a link to the kill switch you used and info on how you hooked it up?
@JimmyandNatalie3 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that! Battery issues are the worst 😬. We bought the “Duralast DL20269 Battery Disconnect Switch” from Autozone. The switch does come with a helpful diagram but basically I added a 4/0 cable on the negative of my battery and inserted the switch on the negative line.
@theskooliepad60953 жыл бұрын
@@JimmyandNatalie Asesome! Thanks for the info!

I can't remember, have you verified that your alternator is charging correctly? If yes, one other thing to keep in mind is to let the bus run for a while (or even better take it for a spin) for 20 minutes or so to make sure you recharge the batteries fully after having cranked a little to start it
@JimmyandNatalie3 жыл бұрын
We technically tested the alternator once when we took it by Autozone a few weeks ago. They said it wasn’t charging correctly but that also could have been because the batteries at the time were DEAD. Although, when we took it to the mechanic they said it was fine… So either way, we plan to swing by in the next week or so back to autozone just to have them check it once more. I’ll keep my fingers crossed 🤞

Hi Guys How Are You Doing Today We Are Good Today
@noraverrone76573 жыл бұрын
Just a thought, we used the black ribbed sump pump hose for our drain lines. Comes in 25 foot section it’s very flexible, easy to install oh yeah it’s cheap, bout 15 bucks a section. 4 years and ours is holding up well.
@JimmyandNatalie3 жыл бұрын
That's something we'll need to buy really soon, so we'll definitely check that out! Thanks for the recommendation! 💚

Showing the kill switch??
@JimmyandNatalie3 жыл бұрын
Good question… We’ve decided to see this kill switch as an “opportunity” to have an additional security measure, since we’ve heard that school buses are relatively easy to hotwire. Because of that, we didn’t show the location of our switch in the video, but there are a lot of great options for where to put one!
