Hey guys, I know this is so far from where your videos are now but I just found you recently and this is where I am currently. You're doing such a great job and I love the look of everything so far. One thing I wanted to mention is that I used the flexseal in our poolside bathroom and it was slippery when it got wet. I will have to see if this is mentioned in upcoming videos but hopefully it works for you. We also used it on our countertops in our boat that we live fulltime.

I'd replace the shower drain cover with a "drain screen", as it keeps 99% more hairs from going down the drain, into the pipes to clog up the drainage flow.

@JimmyandNatalie3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! And you're definitely right! We looked at getting epoxy first, but couldn't find an affordable enough option, and the Flex Seal we bought was only $40
@cherylmoning23153 жыл бұрын
You two are doing such an amazing job and I can't believe your quick progress in such little time! I feel like you've accomplished as much in the last 5 or 6 weeks that we have done in 9 months! I love the idea of the Flex Seal on the floor of the shower. The shower was my project too, and I have no idea what to put on our walls to keep it waterproof, and I am thinking Flex Seal or Liquid Rubber may be a great idea - thank you!! I'm looking forward to the update to see how it holds up. Keep up the amazing work!! :D
@JimmyandNatalie3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! 💚 The Flex Seal shower floor seems like a great way to go! It’s working for us so far, and I love that we can touch it up with a spray can if we need to later. The shower was certainly an intimidating project to take on, but it feels so good to have it behind me. It’ll be worth it in the end! 😄

@cecilehoare30533 жыл бұрын
Depending on how much of the Flex Seal you used, you should carry it up the walls, specially the wall that would get the most spray. Or do the whole shower top to bottom! Well worth it! I can't wait to see the finished project!
@JimmyandNatalie3 жыл бұрын
It definitely seems to be doing it’s job! We were kind of hitting our budget at the end of this project and Flex Seal is like $40 a quart 😬 so that’s the main reason we limited it to the floor only. Maybe in the future! 😄

You stated that your biggest fear was getting physically stuck. I also caught that you have State Farm insurance. Check with your agent about adding “Roadside Service” to your policy. I don’t think it is very expensive, but it will remove those worries you have. We used to travel a lot and go fishing camping etc., now I’m 65 so I felt the need to add it to my policy. Have fun and be safe!

What struts did you use for your cabinet doors?
@JimmyandNatalie3 жыл бұрын
Here's a link to the ones we used: amzn.to/3DdvpGV These seem to work perfect for our cabinets. The first set that we ordered were too strong, so we ended up sending them back and using these instead.

What is the cubby hole in the shower for? Sorry if I missed it earlier.
@JimmyandNatalie3 жыл бұрын
It will be where we store our Nature’s Head composting toilet! We plan to have the toilet on some type of slide out that will allow us to tuck it away when we take a shower. That’s the plan anyway 🤞

What are your thoughts on using wood in your framing construction as opposed to 80/20 or steel? Great video! Happy trails. :-)
@JimmyandNatalie3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! 💚 As a complete amateur… I MUCH prefer using wood for the bus framing. It has allowed us to work a lot faster and I feel like it is more forgiving of small mistakes. We have even had to remove whole supports before to make room for projects when plans change. BUT… neither of us have worked with anything other than wood so I am sure they have a ton of perks that we just don’t get to see.
