0.97km horizontal distance to the CTR was shown on the flight computer 😂 - so not even needed to talk to ATC 😀 - but i guess it would not have been a problem, they are kind and the transponder makes it possible to fly even in controlled airspace

Ich freue mich schon auf Videos der kommenden Saison. Gerade das editing mit den 360er Kameras finde ich immer sehr gelungen, man sieht gut wie sich das Flugzeug im Raum bewegt. Nimmt die Batteriekapazität des Silent bei kaltem Wetter ab?

Ja das eine oder andere Video mit 360Grad Aufnahmen kommt heuer sogar noch :-). Bezgl. Akkukapazität: wichtig ist, die Akkus immer auf Zimmertemperatur zu lagern. Nach Einbau in den Flieger kühlen sie kaum ab, besonders wenn man den Motor schon benutzt hat.

Ich versuche immer mal wieder Infos für den Betrieb des Silents in Deutschland zu finden. Aber es scheint keinen Musterbetreuer mehr zu geben und ob man es noch neu kaufen kann ist irgendwie auch unklar. Gibts da irgendwo infos die du kennst? Für mich der Jahrelang Segelflug betrieben hat und jetzt leider aus beruflichen Gründen die Zeit für ganze Flugwochenenden verloren hat, wäre das ein super Flugzeug um spontan solo los zu ziehen. Muss ich dafür nur eine UL-Lizenz machen und kann dann der Einweisung einsteigen? Oder muss ich mich um die Wiederherstellung meiner Segelfluglizenz kümmern? Fragen über Fragen, aber nur wenig Antworten. Wäre cool wenn du jemanden kennst der die Antworten hat :)

Hi Pilot of Adventures, Danke für das Kompliment! Bezüglich Flugzeug: sowohl als auch! Im Verein betreiben wir seit 5 Jahren eine Silent 2 Electro, die sehr gut angenommen wird. Das gezeigte Flugzeug ist privat und wird unter anderem auch verchartert.

@@RudisGlidingAdventures War schon bei uns im Hangar in LOXN hab sie leider nur am Boden gesehen. Der Pilot hatte leider wenig Wetterglück.

Great video. Regarding your self-launcher mechanism (FES ?) , what autonomy you have while cruising ? and does your glider authorized for gentle aerobatics ? thanks

Hello @GwenA, yes it is a FES system. Due to the lighter weight this plane is selflaunchable. In flight you can use it as a sustainer, like in the planes where it is used for that. Furthermore I am sorry but this plane is not certified for any aerobatics

Hi Peter! I used a GoPro Hero7 on the wing and an insta360 ONE R Twin Edition (360 degree camera) for the cockpit views. It records spherical, so the final perspective can be chosen whilst editing. More information about that camera can be found here: www.insta360.com/sal/one_r?insrc=INRQKRN

Hello, the basic price is about 80k EUR without VAT (2021), so you habe to add VAT and avionics.
