Sometimes they do, or at least they did before CGI became commonplace. Much of the final chase in Blue Thunder was shot using R/C helicopters, as well as numerous Airwolf episodes.

yes, depends on what they need. Back in the day it was the only way to have a helicopter crash in your movie, for instance. You can see flying RC helis in movies like Capricorn One or Blue Thunder, and for special effects shots in tons of movies. In some movies like Small Soldiers, they used a Nexus .30 RC helicopter modified so one of the toy soldiers could fly it. they used a mox of practical and CGI helis for that movie. These days you can do a lot with CGI but still they were used in movies like Dunkirk recently for scenes where planes had to crash or make a water landing.

Ein wundervolles Video und ein ganz tolles Model!!! Ich wohne seit 45 Jahren in Sichtweite des BGS (ehemals) vom Dachfenster freie Sicht auf den Landeplatz. Bell, Bo 105 und Puma, gehörten zum täglichen Luftbild. Ich kann bestätigen das Start und Landung sehr lange dauern. Bei dem Klang des Models haben sich alle Haare aufgestellt, erinnerung an meine Kindheit wenn die ganze Staffel über unser Haus gedonnert sind und die Gläser im Schrank geklirrt haben... Danke für diese erinnerung!
