I'm not condoning doing what he did, but he put less lives at risk than the truck. There was no one in the oncoming lane, the car beside him was likely his friend recording him. The truck passed him with less than 2 foot to spare and almost ran off the road himself, close to the end of the passing section, while there is another car coming towards them. Again, not saying the cyclist isn't also an idiot, but the truck definitely was a lot dumber for doing what they did.

@@krrisss Maybe? I'm not really an expert on what would be considered occupying 2 lanes. I will say that, just looking at the video, both are wrong for doing what they did. I would still say the truck is more in the wrong simply because although the biker was being a dumb ass, he was very clearly going fast, and the truck had no reason (unless emergency that we don't know about) to pass so aggressively like he did.

The video even shows you getting mad and then you grab a gear to try and speed up to get him but realize he was going pretty fast and it would be a futile effort to try and catch him. And lets face it, most of the bikers are the ones doing the stupid shit that puts them in danger and then they freak out. Most of these could be avoided with a little thing called the front brake. I ride, and in some of these, guys are speeding up to catch people pulling out on them, sometimes you can count 4,5 seconds before the bike gets to the car... guys, use the front brake. It is taught in your motorcycle course as well. Riders are starting to give all of us a bad name.
