How long had you been dancing when you made this? Did you take a class or did you self-teach? You are amazing.

Thank you very much Ashley Allen! I had been dancing about one year five months at the time and I am self taught minus my instructor licensing ;)

Ava Madison I ordered my first pole (xpole after saving up for months lol), and I want to self teach as well. I've seen a lot of different pole dance styles on youtube, but you're definitely my new inspiration. Sooo beautiful! Any tips for a self-teaching noob? I see so many websites and blogs cautioning against self-teaching...talking about how it causes you to learn more slowly and incur more injuries. :/ But I just can't afford $25/+ per class in a studio right now.

Congratulations on getting your first pole Ashley Allen!! You can totally self teach! A few short years ago all of these new pole studios didn't exist and the pole community was primarily self taught. Don't listen to anybody who tells you that you cant if you feel it is right for you. With that said you have to be really driven and really dedicated to doing your research to avoid injury as it is a true risk. Do your homework and commit to educating yourself fully on body mechanics, anatomy, etc in the way a teacher would for each movement. If that's not something you feel you can commit to I would most definitely hire an instructor, the injuries related are not worth the risk. It takes the right type of person but self teaching is really amazingly rewarding and you get to learn at your own pace which is best for your body. Maybe consider a mixture of studio and self teaching that way you can get the community benefits and have access to instruction when you feel you need support. Give a few things a try, most likely one will feel most natural to suite your individual needs - lots of luck on your journey dear!

Wow really beautiful! Do you stretch regularly?
@AvaMadisonDance9 жыл бұрын
Thank you MissSchokoLove :) I go on streaks with flexibility training simply because I have so many things I train for I can really only focus on so many things at one time thus I am not super disciplined when it comes to flexibility training (though I should be). I'm currently healing a hamstring injury so that puts a damper on things as well for the time being so I've currently placed my side focus more on handstands for the time being ;)

I've got a question: how many hours a day do you practice on the pole?

I always love Your work Ava, but the lyrics cut and slice for real and I'll let it out and it won't get read and besides, it's been overlooked during My whole stretch and it's that neither side has said those certain words to My face in person, making Me really a man. Problem is that I done stepped in & out, but it ain't been made right.......yet, by either side.🥀
